Sublime text. V3 is officially out.

The one I'm using

vi, not that free software vim crap

and of course Sublime Text 3 for GUIfags

Emacs

if busybox vi had line numbers it would be cool

>be MIT-toting, anti-GPL advocate
>prefer proprietary software over an interpretation of free software I don't like

How much of vi/vim cmds should I learn? i already know like 25

commands as in command mode? 25 and you're set. Command as in silly visual mode shortcuts? Enough to navigate by.

Just use notepad2 on windows and vi on linux/mac, vim if you have a reason to.

You're the reason why nobody respects FreeBSD

vim for brainlets
emacs for truly enlightened people

Why are you keeping count?

Also, pic related

I can use Vim in Emacs, so it doesn't really matter what you prefer.

The keybindings of vim are fine, just the editor is shit

I meant that I could run Vim through term in Emacs, not emulate Vim via evil.

Also, why does no one talk about NeoVim? I use Emacs myself, but it kind of makes me sad that nv doesn't get any love even though lots of people talk about Vim, because it seems like NeoVim fixes a lot of the issues that bog Vim down.

Kate.
Comes with a ton of features enabled by default, you can extend it with plugins and scripting. And it isn't an electron app.
It takes a lot of work to get vim to be as good.

And the ladies says i pee too often.

Cat, sed, and less

For general use, Notepad++
For writing, WriteMonkey

what issues does NeoVim fixes beside using different scripting language?

vscode is nice. its electron, but still fast.
