Bigger than it should be.
That's what she said.
I'd say very likely. Yet again, I don't think that a byte would have self-knowledge, so "God dream's" is still a more fascinating idea than "Bogdanov's VR"

Why would you simulate a universe?
I wish :((((
>what are MMORPGS
maybe we are not bytes but rather programs, atoms = bytes or something like that
bullshit, with all the server farms we have now, we can barely simulate a fraction of our cognitive abilities
html at best
So you can sell the data to other universes.
>what are the odds i get to fuck a unicorn
>what are the odds i get heads every time i flip a coin
pull your head out of your ass user
zero
Why wouldn't you?
Not javascript but harmonics.
>implying the spaceniggers wont have more advanced technology than us
Who is this pretty human being? I think I am in love
50%
>What is the chance?
Undiscernible
>thinking it would be so easily comparable to what we have right now
We wouldn't be able to understand 'why' or 'how'. It's likely we couldn't understand their 'computer' any more than we can understand certain topics in physics.
"SImulation" is simply the best word physicists could describe it with.
Do any of you even read science fiction or use your imaginations sometimes?
Quantum computing is not possible for the same reason analog computers don't work.

I am 32 and I feel like someone is installing systemd in my life. Shit crashes all the time.
Pretty sure atoms would need to be infinite precision floats
You only have to calculate a big bang. The rest of the simulation runs itself.
Watch this OP, answers your question

To see what happens
He says that if we are simulated by future humans, then their world will have the same features as ours and follow classical physics. But why would that be the case?
Watch the entire video.
I did. And that question about premise 3 stuck in my mind. He stated you would need a computer bigger than the universe itself. And that it would be impossible to build.
But that seems a very human perspective to me. Because you don't know the properties of any outside universe. Or if it even is a single universe simulating us or a cooperative project between universes.
Do you think you're in love or is it just shitty spacepajeet Javascript coding?
Oh wait, I'm mixing things up. He said future humans.
I thought he referred to beings outside of our universe. Which he refers to as God I guess.
They're not making any statements, this is philosophy after all. So their arguments are just as valid as yours.
Ultimately, we have to ask ourselves, what is truth?
Real humans that do not live in a digital world might live in a world with different properties.
Future humans like us live in a world with the same properties.
spatial and mechanical relations are the truth

take a look at euclid instead of some pop-sci visual illusion gimmick
I'll take a look at euclid, you should take a look at the Bible.
>you wouldn't simulate a gf
t this universe is a simulation
Extremely probable. I would say the most probable things of all considering how much "universes" are supposed to live.
>run on the outermen's equivalent of javascript
INSUFFICIENT DATA FOR MEANINGFUL ANSWER
What am I supposed to be seeing here?
>systemd
So you got aids?
this is too bug free for that though.
Something of this scale should have more problems.
what about Branes
simulation.
i hope so
Read "computing the universe"
It would take more energy that the universe has to run a simulation of that universe. I don't think any physical being could do it.
But what if these outermen have a bigger universe than us and thus more energy, would they be able to simulate an universe with smaller amount of energy?
If you assume a classical system simulates our quantic universe - then it would imply a classical universe much much much bigger than the entirety of our universe, do you honestly believe that's the case?
I look at it this way - given the chance (hardware, ethics, etc), there's almost no doubt we will simulate an entire universe at some point. That makes the probability of this universe being a simulation non-zero.
t. Doesn't know anything about physics or theoretical mathematics and may be talking out of his ass
What is the chance that the outermen's universe is a simulation run on the extramen's equivalent of javascript?

Is this why 2D waifus aren't real?
