>Use KingoRoot to root phone >It bricks it, can't get past boot screen >boot into recovery and wipe everything >still fucked >99% of the sites that have the stock rom are in spanish >you need to sign up to download this rom ;) >sign up >you need to be VIP to download this rom ;) >FUCK.YOU. >visit another site >you need to like us on Facebook or +1 us on twitter to download this rom ;) >create dummy twitter and give them their stupid +1 >ok, download stock rom + QFIL to try flashing it back >Qualcom usb drivers installed fine but PC never fucking recognizes it >try installing these shit drivers in a VM + a different computer >Same shit, fuck >use alternative SP Flash Tool >this tool requires a scatter file which my stock rom doesnt have and i cant get because my shit is bricked so this was completely pointless >losing hope >decide to use TWRP as my boot recovery, since my stock recovery didnt support adb interface >need android sdk to use adb to push files to my phone >download 2GB android SDK just so I can get the google usb driver >try installing stock rom from TWRP now >doesnt work >look up custom roms for my BLU Life One >none exist >fuck it >download custom rom for a completely different phone >failed to flash >try about 20 different custom roms >failed, failed, failed >then, somehow, 20 hours later, one of them FUCKING WORKED. >now have lineage OS working on my BLU Life One 4G LTE X010Q phone
sorry I just had to /rant/ about how I spent nearly the entire day on this stupid phone. you can ignore the thread now, thanks for reading.
There's a fastboot and adb standalone downloads which is pretty much the only thing you need from the Android SDK This guy fucked up on every step
Samuel Allen
Installing a stock rom is always a pain. There is a reason the first recommendation is to take a backup. Unless you work for the phone company, I doubt anyone can get a virus free version anywhere.
Ethan Carter
I got cucked by kingroot too, OP, i feel your pain
Daniel Baker
>buy a car >disassemble and rewire it >nothing works >reee cars amirite kys
Brayden Johnson
Congratulations, you are too stupid to follow instructions that pajeets have no problem following.
You are literally less intelligent than a street shitter.
How does that feel?
Chase Richardson
Lol you can't brick mediatek device dumbfuck, the only way to brick it emmc are dead or usb port broken. Vcom mediatek driver need to be installed by disable the driver signature first...you did everything wrong....
Kayden Harris
>using literally proprietary botnet malware to root your phone
Chase Howard
this
Luke Powell
Should I install LineageOS?
Nolan Bennett
sorry freedom is not for dumb people, you didn't pass the test altought some models are FUCKED but you should research that before buy
Dylan Carter
Ive flashed official and custom roms, custom kernels, modem and bootloader on my s6 tons of times. Maybe buy american next time, Paco.
Easton King
And this kids is why you buy phones with unlocked bootloaders like the 3T.
Gavin Stewart
The general rule is that if you want anything but the unrooted stock ROM then you should buy a device that's geared towards developers and enthusiasts such as a Nexus, Pixel, OnePlus, Sony (certain models), etc. Don't buy some obscure, bottom of the barrel, generic chinkshit and expect it to have any kind of decent community support, and as the saying goes don't be penny wise and pound foolish.
Aiden Lopez
>buy american >s6 You make me ashamed to breath the same air as you do.
James Gonzalez
>wanna be jailbreaker cant into jail breaking
Carson Howard
>calls rooting jailbreaking
Jack Davis
I'm not into phones at all, so I bought the most affordable one. BLU Life one costed me about $100. I only use my phone when I'm at work to avoid social interactions, otherwise it stays in my room collecting dust. I'm not going to pay $800 for something I barely use.
The only reason I even attempted to root it was because some dumb ublock alternative app required it.
Brayden Torres
I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as "rooting" or "jailbreaking" is actually just removing the manufacturer's restrictions like a bad goy. You're running unauthorized software on the operating system of your personal tracking device. Many people call these smartphones, but they actually include a lot of cancerous shitware, or as I've started calling it, facebookmachine/muhapps.
Oliver Scott
If you want root then buy a developer device. That's all that anyone here can tell you.
Jacob Johnson
>flash recovery for my phone using adb >flash lineage os from their site without signing up for shit >flash gapps from opengapps >boots right up >as stable as stock rom, but newer and a bit faster >everything just works >now have Lineage on my Nexus 5 Now do you see why you shouldn't fall for the obscure chinkphone meme? If you want to fuck with custom roms, the more popular the phone is, the better. No exceptions.
Logan Smith
You forgot to add Chinese.
Ayden Ross
No need, I've already got root thanks to Lineage OS. Only issue is that the phone shuts off when I switch to USB transfer mode for some reason.
Lucas Stewart
bump
Matthew Stewart
If you don't have your phone in this website download.lineageos.org/ then you and your phone are worthless. Prove me wrong. #protip: you can't!
Asher Roberts
Should've gotten a Redmi Note 4x™
Grayson Lewis
what is with all these disgusting phone fags? why do you care so much about them?
I have a dd-wrt flashed router, FreeNAS + ZFS server and a high-end desktop. My phone is for making calls, so I see no need to be fiddling with some little tweens custom rom.
Maybe times are changing.
Ryan Reyes
The actually important step is called "unlocking the bootloader", which is officially allowed by some manufacturers.
Nathan Howard
Use magisk you retard
William Bennett
My phone is there, but I only see nightlies. What happened to snapshots?
Jaxson Brooks
I went through the same process for my LG G3 except I didn't attempt to install an unsupported custom ROM.
Although, the difference between you and I is I don't blame the smartphone itself on my dumb decision to try to root the phone. Completely idiotic to expect things to go perfectly fine when it's basically this analogy that user mentioned. It's your weight to carry at that point. Either suck it up with no superuser privilege or get a phone with better compatibility. Nice blog.
James Flores
Is magisk magic enough to root my zmax 2 which can't be rooted?
Jose Hill
>Use KingoRoot Thank you for sparing me of reading the rest of your post, retard.
Jaxon Williams
all nightlies are pretty stable
Jose Evans
Do you know the concept of root?
Jose Brooks
Nothing, they realized that there is little point in stable snapshots as official nightlies are stable enough for everyday use. Just don't install it on your phone if a missed call can kill someone.
Xavier Johnson
>BLU tl;dr user got chink'd
Ethan Campbell
Snapshots are just outdated nightlies.
Easton Ramirez
Best kek of the day thanks
Jordan Hill
Crazy how nature do that
Parker Harris
>dicking around with chink garbage and doing retarded shit instead of just using it like a normal person
Is this the life of an Android user? I just buy an iPhone, sign in to it then download the applications I use and I'm done. I don't even change a wallpaper. What were you wanting to do, OP? Install some cutesy girly theme or some stupid shit like that so you can post it on Sup Forums? Fucking queer loser. Get a life.
Oliver Lewis
you are not even trying, 2/10
Gabriel Hall
This. Fucking idiots need to do research first.
Thomas Evans
>Is this the life of an Android user? It is if you want security updates for your phone after the initial 6 months. I'll keep using Android, because I like smartphones (and Android is the only smartphone platform with many apps), but this is a disgrace.
Tyler Nguyen
'Trying' what exactly?
Nathan Garcia
to troll. Here is another (You) but this will be the last one.
Gavin Young
Where is the trolling you dumbfuck deluded wanker? I buy an iPhone and set it up for its life in under 20 minutes. Do you not understand how this works?
Hunter Foster
No, I wanted AdAway, which is apparently the only good adblocker for Android, which requires root
Landon Walker
Yes but tell me I want to make sure you know them
Evan Watson
Know it I mean
Kevin Gonzalez
>Personal Blog
Andrew Wright
>I bought a cheapshit phone and now i have no community support
Same reason I'll never buy Xiaomi again. If you ever need to research a problem you will have to converse with street shitters.
Luis Flores
That's why you do everything on xda and only download their roms
Cooper Howard
>fastboot oem unlock >fastboot flash recovery twrp.img >flash magisk zip in TWRP Wow! Only Mensa members know this secret trick!
Noah Martinez
Maybe quit being such a freak and use the rom that came with the phone?
Nicholas Perez
Do you want it?
David Hernandez
How retarded are you
Jackson Walker
Install gentoo
Justin Rodriguez
What was it? I can't even view it on the archives
Christopher Jones
pretty sure he missed the last number. He was addressing the OP
Hudson Nelson
>All I wanted was adblock Nobody tell him DNS66 doesn't require root
