The general rule is that if you want anything but the unrooted stock ROM then you should buy a device that's geared towards developers and enthusiasts such as a Nexus, Pixel, OnePlus, Sony (certain models), etc. Don't buy some obscure, bottom of the barrel, generic chinkshit and expect it to have any kind of decent community support, and as the saying goes don't be penny wise and pound foolish.

I'm not into phones at all, so I bought the most affordable one. BLU Life one costed me about $100.
I only use my phone when I'm at work to avoid social interactions, otherwise it stays in my room collecting dust. I'm not going to pay $800 for something I barely use.

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as "rooting" or "jailbreaking" is actually just removing the manufacturer's restrictions like a bad goy. You're running unauthorized software on the operating system of your personal tracking device. Many people call these smartphones, but they actually include a lot of cancerous shitware, or as I've started calling it, facebookmachine/muhapps.

If you want root then buy a developer device. That's all that anyone here can tell you.
