The One M7 revolutionized android smartphones

The One M7 revolutionized android smartphones.

...in terms of ugliness, look at that bloated homescreen"

t. OP

>that fucking chin
>those bezels

Looking at this phone actually makes my stomach hurt desu.

That's BlinkFeed and you can easily switch to a different home screen. The Sense UI is pretty lightweight and close to stock Android.

Still have it, planning to replace it finally with a Mi Mix 2

I loved my M7, it was my favorite phone.

I think the V30 will finally dethrone it for me though.

Black looks like shit.

Android smartphones always are and always will be just the same old shit. There is no difference between any of them besides better screens or cameras.

To bad that the M8 was such a major step down.

Just like it does on people

>$900

Can't be serious

It gave us shitty curved-back phones for a while, but at least it emphasize the importance of larger pixels in camera sensors and dual-speakers.

what about that pinkish tone all over your pics taken at night?

Indeed.
By removing the removable battery and SD slot

Bootloops tho

i think there were devices with defect cameras that would give every photo a pinkish tint. otherwise it's fine.

they weren't the first to do that. and at first I believed it wouldn't matter much. but now i wish it had both.

>home button replaced by a fucking logo
>deats by dr. pepper

I miss the days when they had removable batteries and tried to have different designs.

>>home button replaced by a fucking logo
it's not. it's to the right of it. here you can see it better:

>beats audio

Didn't revolutionize, but it was definitely the best phone for its time.

If you want to look at a phone that actually revolutionized the industry, you'd want to look at iPhone 2G or the LG G6/Galaxy S8.

The bezels were ugly but it was one of the best at the time. Build quality was way above anything else. It's what brought in the metal unibody into popularity.

Didn't it kick off the whole "Android phones can feel premium too!" thing. Maybe i remember it wrong.

Looks like just another generic glass slate to me.

>beats audio

Are they joking?

There was a mod that let you turn the HTC logo into the multitasking button so it had a better layout. Not sure why HTC never thought to do that themselves. Just making the logo a home button and keep the multitasking button on the right. Fucking hire me to be your industrial designer you stupid fucking vinks

Literally just marketing.
But if i remember correctly the earbuds that came with the m7 were unbranded beats earbuds, which is kinda nice compared to the shit you normally get.

Wait, that area had touch too? And they deliberately did not use it? kek

That's not the Droid DNA/J Butterfly.

>first 1080p phone
>first real waterproofed smartphone
>one of the first for wireless charging
>no replacing the home button with a fucking logo
>no extra large bottom bezel for a speaker

This phone had a shitty non-replaceable battery and no SD slot but it was the best phone I ever owned.

Sorry, the Butterfly, not the J Butterfly.

>>first 1080p phone
So Motorola's responsible for this bullshit.

The entire bottom black section of the phone could be enabled with a few hacks since the touch panel went all the way down. The best mod turned it into a gesture panel. They probably realized most people are idiots and would think the phone didn't have a home button if they used the HTC logo but it was still a terrible choice. They could have at least enabled it in the developer settings.

Last I remember only the top half of the logo was actually touch enabled.

They were actual branded Beats earbuds (MyBeats if I remember correctly). The sound was actually quite good, and the One M7 definitely still has one of the best phone speakers even compared to today's phones.

It was the first example of that if I remember correctly, but I'm pretty sure other makers didn't really pick up on it. For example Samsung only went premium materials in 2015 because sales were declining, One M7 was released in 2013.

It was made by HTC...?

Huh, I thought Droid was a Motorola brand

>one of the first for wireless charging

Droid is a Verizon brand. Motorola was the first manufacturer for it, but like Nexus, others stepped in.

Did I say the only first, motherfucker?
