For what it's worth, the same 2.5" enclosure is in on/off use on two (arguably infrequently attached) drives here and nothing melted yet.
[Also have the 3.5" enclosure but it's in storage for use once needed. Dunno if that one will fry all your 3.5" drives.]

I'd go for 1920x1080 or 1920x1200.
Most tablets do HDMI outs but HDMI in are very rare even on laptops and desktops - basically forget it and get a dedicated (USB connected or whatever) capture device if you really need it.
There are a bunch on gearbest / geekbuying / banggood and so on that have docks, no clue if they match your required specs - most of them will be Atom Z8350 or comparable, not N4200 or even recent i5 or such.

But on computers basically everything has to work for 1920x1080 (16:9) and most things will work with 1920x1200 (16:10), so you might most realistically just go with that.

I just ordered prescription eyeglasses from China. It includes thin polucarbonate lenses with AR coating. I was quoted $300 at a local eyeglasses store just for the lenses last week. Frames were extra $60 for the cheapest/ugliest/non-metal frame.
I paid $57.92 (USD) for a nice metal frames and lenses.

I tend to prefer (usually smooth or pretty smooth) padding/insoles with a shaped mold that supports the feet a bit better and slightly more cushioned padding/outsoles.

About the only negative about goggles4u is that they don't have as many frames as other ones. And their best lenses are 1.67 which are pretty thin. Some other sites have 1.74 lenses but those are double the price. 1.74 lenses are slightly thinner but 1.67 is thin enough as it is.
Anyway, do some browsing on your own if you need eyeglasses. Just don't fucking pay the insane Luxxotica tax!

Most of them aren't too great at it, bandwidth throughput is usually lackluster both to the drive and to the network.
But I guess it depends if you need it closer to 100MBit or 1 or 10Gbit speed, or something more resembling some crappy ancient ADSL connection that runs at 1MBit (all per second, obviously).

about the only issue with your choice is not picking the AR+UV coating for your lenses. I'd never wear eyeglasses without AR coating. It would drive me insane. rest is fine if you don't mind the thickness and weight and don't care about scratch resistance.
here's a handy chart for those picking lenses. 1.74, if it's offered, is still 2x as expensive as 1.67. I highly recommend 1.67 if you can afford it (i.e. if you're not in some shithole and make $100 a month, just go for 1.67 and all the coatings).

My dad's HP with an athlon x2 250 had a heavily abused install of windows 10, which was originally windows 7, with original 2009 HP bloat still intact, that had been infected at least 200 times and system restored and fucked with by him. I'd try to give him some basic tuneup but ccleaner would take 1 hour to run and malwarebytes would take 3 hours to run.
Gave him a fresh install of win10 to the goldenfir and all he uses is the browser. Ccleaner now takes 30 seconds, and malwarebytes 2 minutes.
Best use of $27 for any ancient PC. It's performance level is enough to install windows 10 within 10 minutes and create an overall very fluid 9 year old $400 PC.
