I mean, it's obviously not for gaming...
For things that need good latency I use my normal home connection.
Also, if it's something that can be done on the VPS itself i'll SSH and do it there.

Literally go to AWS, set up an account, and click start an EC2 instance. Choose to host the server wherever you want your VPN to be based. Install software of your choice, leave it running and connect from your local machine.
Downside is it might cost you like $3 a month or something since they charge based on the computing power and memory your use up. So literally just make a small virtual server and you're golden.
