PLS I NEED HELP. Today my external hard disk spor working, i tried everything. I explain what happened: i was fixing pc things and drivers when the hard disk was connected to it. At some point i had to restart the pc, and i was taking toooo long to restart, so i decied to shut down pressing the button for 3s (im a dumbass i know) Well, when i tried to acces the disk, it wasnt recognized, but the light was flashing as it was being read.
What i tried: Using different usb, restarting, waiting, whatever noob action.
I unmounted the hard drive and plugged directly to SATA ports, and there was recognized in device manager, and disk manager only. In disk managet is thows as uninitialized, but when i try to initialize it, shows me an I/O error. I tried using CMD but isnt initialized so i cant put a letter on it, and cant do anything.
Pls give me more ideas or something
The hard disk is WD elements 3.5" 1.5TB

Download CrystalDiskInfo and post SMART

But that software needs the drive to be recognized as a functional one? Because i already tried the typical "recover your data" software that needs a path
Wyatt Davis
Check the SMART in MHDD then.
Ultimate Boot CD

Okay, i'll try, in 10 mins i reply if it woks, thanks

Plus, download iCare Data Recovery and try to recover with it.
If it fails then try DMDE.
But post SMART first so I can know whats up.

And most importantly - don't worry as you've just lost a partition table due to power loss.

Sorry for not posting smart, im not english speaker, and im actually a bit nervous to think clearly what im saying
Hunter Sullivan
Im worried if i have to pay 300€ to recover the data
Gabriel Barnes
>i try to initialize it
you probably overwrote your partition data then.
There's one app that doesn't need a path, it instead reads every single sector on the physical unit to check for any potential files. I used it to recover data from wiped/formatted partitions in the past. The name of it escapes me though. Runtime GetDataBack, maybe?
