Dam straight i would.

Maybe for 10 bucks

the butterfly keyboard were very prone to breaking, hence why ibm dropped the design as soon as displays got wide enough

They're only like 200-300$ on eBay when they show up
Less if they need some work

Oh absolutely

Anybody here type on one? IBM mostly had great keyboards in the old days but some were shitty.

if this had mechanical switches i'd buy it

Of course, not even to use it, just to look at from time to time in awe.

Face it. You'd buy one if you could afford it.

yeah

I certainly would.

I've got one somewhere, used to run Debian in console mode on it back in 2000ish. The 486 didn't even have enough gas to play an MP3.

It's amazing how long it took for 16:10 or 16:9 to be invented.

16:9 existed before that laptop did.

Then why did this laptop exist in the first place

Because 16:9 is trash, especially for laptops.

>not buying a used laptop.
Every laptop I've ever bought has been used or refurbished.
The best way to buy a laptop is to buy a laptop that was very high end when it was new, but has aged a few years.
I have a 2 year old 3rd generation x1 carbon that I bought for £600, even though they were almost double that when new.

who would buy an empty box?

Honestly thought that image was glitched for a moment.

Too late. Already did.
Cost me 116€.
