>spend $1000 on a phone
>it goes obsolete a year later
Spend $1000 on a phone
gotta keep the economy going
I agree. People who buy Samsung phones are retards.
All of the Android phones are obsolete the day you buy them but at least most people aren't stupid enough to spend $1000 on an Android phone.
Flash a ROM retard.
The real retards are the ones buying phones with locked bootloaders.
>tfw spent a grand on my iP6S+ back in 2015 and it still receives updates in its third year, and it will for the next 2 years
Too bad your Android gets obsolete in its first year, pajeet.
>it goes obsolete a year later
Just got nougat on galaxy S6
There’s a thing called localisation
>void warranty of your $1000 phone
kek'd. you're dumb. just buy a supported phone.
huh, been using the same android phone for 3 years now
dubs of truth
Haha I still have the first gen Moto g and it does everything fine. Also don't pay ridiculous wireless fees because my ISP has free WiFi hotspots everywhere
>ludicrously expensive
>obsolete in a year
It's funny because this used to be the PC market.
Now it's ludicrously expensive and 5% worse the next year which is much worse.
it`s obsolete because you dropped it in the toilet
Yeah can’t wait to tinker with my phone instead of using it for productivity
I wish there were a place like Sup Forums but for adults
>he doesn't wash his phone in the toilet
>installing software on your phone voids the warranty
don't buy a phone like that, get one with an unlocked bootloader
>being poor
OP IS TALKING ABOUT IPHONE REEEEEEEEE
Do you craft woodwork with your phone?
You forgot to mention Apple faggot
This >Wasting money on phones that'll go obsolete the next year
>Thinking you're not poor
>obsolescence
when will this meme die
Everyone I've ever seen with an iPhone has been poor. It's because they spend their money on iPhones instead of saving it.
...
>spend half of that for Sony Xperia Z2 years ago
>wanted to upgrade to Z5 premium once its price dropped to that range
>gave the old phone to my little brother and he's still using it today with no problems and it's fast and the battery lasts long
>meanwhile iPhones get remotely gimped each time the newer model gets released, like Google searches proved time and time again
iPhone owners will never know this feel of buying hardware that lasts longer than 2 years max (the common time of their payment plan phones)
>Options are bad
No wonder why you're an Apple user.
> Stop recieving updates after year 1
> Slowly but surely cannot download apps anymore because "This device is not supported"
> Have to low-level flash the device with some custom android distro
> Eats your battery
> Try flashing with another distro
> Half the hardware is unrecognized and doesn't work such as light sensor
> Try flashing with another distro
> Weird bugs and OS crashes
> Try flashing with another distro
> Try flashing with another distro
> Try flashing with another distro
> Device ends up bricked because the umpteenth distro decided to overwrite shit it shouldn't overwrite
Updates: The Android Experience
At least Google FINALLY acknowledged this as a legit issue and is going to (to some extent) bypass carrier and manufacturer updates come 8.0 or 9.0
>Android
>Distros
You have no idea of what you're talking about. Here's an idea - buy a phone with an unlocked bootloader and a good custom ROM support. It's not hard to research these things.
the memephone x won't go obsolete cuz next year they'll shit out the iphone 9 and x>9
What does it mean for a phone to be "obsolete"? I upgraded from iphone 4 to iphone 6 just because I wanted more storage space, and I've had it ever since release.
they'll activate the crippleswitch next year when they finish the original design with touch ID in the screen.
my friend who always used to buy iphones bought a pixel. I don't get it.
fucking normalshits get out
> Having to choose your phone not based on your own needs, but based on what random russian custom rom developers prefers to develop for
You're not helping to win any brownie points for Android, that's for sure.
>flashing botnet rom to your 1000$ phone
questionable
>spend $1000 on a PC
>its still working 5 years later
Thank you based 2500k
Great, you don't even understand what AOSP or open source in general means. Stop embarrassing yourself if you're capable of doing so.
Ever heard about LineageOS? Pic related is my droid 4 from fucking 2012.
...
Buy $200 Xiaomi Chinkshit
Request unlock bootloader
Wait 7 days
Flash TWRP and Pajeet Rom from XDA
$800 saved.
>not being able to choose anything since your overlords tell you what you want
You're not under the impression that you actually chose your OS, are you? Not to mention the hardware so you could filter out the ones that have design flaws like in multiple iPhone generations.
Or better yet just buy the Mi A1 for $250 and enjoy OS updates straight from Google until 2020, more if you install custom ROMs.
>spending $1k on consumershit that you know will be considered obsolete in one year
Did yours come with a quick charger ?
This is a rich tax, same as inflation. You get more money, you pay more money, it gets redistributed to others through salaries and charities.
>not opting out of 1000 dollar obsolete phones, and buying a flip phone
I don't understand this meme, I've had my iPhone 6 for 3 years now and it still works perfectly, still very fast and no problems even with updated iOS.
I had my iPhone 4 for 4 years before that as well. No issues with battery times or speed.
I'm honestly confused by how you people manage to fuck up your iPhones so quickly.
And before you call me an apple shill, I'm not even going to buy another iPhone because honestly they're overpriced, but they do last a long time.
Obsolete how? My 5 year old phone does everything useful a phone from 2017 can do. How millenial are you?
People are retarded and dirty
Is it able to animate emojis? I dont think so...
Rajesh doesn't have this problem.
>Not knowing the definitely of obselete
What you're experiencing is consumer marketing and nothing more. I use a OnePlus 3 and I reckon that it'll be just fine for use for the next 5 or so years(it won't be because of battery life and user error/damage).
My mom still uses an iPhone 4. Shit works fine honey. Does everything and more that a mobile device needs.
If you think a 4gb phone with a snapdragon 825 is obsolete in a year because a 4gb phone with an 835 and +0.15mhz clock came out then I got some news for you bud. You're retarded.
>manufacturer can't be bothered to support their phone for more than two months so you have to rely on Pajeet and Rajesh to do it for you
I own an Android phone and it is super unlikely that I would ever buy an iPhone, but I hate how it's always a gamble with getting updates even on flagship companies
I also hate how Apple slows down their phones with every major iOS release, but it still shows they acknowledge the existence of the old phones
>bought a shitty s4 mini in 2013
>still runs clover and whatsapp
I don't see the problem desu.
>Google searches
you mean the one search for "iphone slow" that curiously peaks during launch hype season and then goes back down to normal when the new products are actually released rather than staying consistent as you would expect if 40% of a platform's user base was getting completely fucked in the ass as the new update rolled out?
the majority of iShit users are running 1-2 generations behind the current flagship, meaning products that have already been around for two or more years and beyond
I too wish you people could go somewhere else
>normies spend all their credits on lamephones
>less credits to buy other stuff
>price of other stuff decreases
The only reason you could be mad about normies buying normie things is out of jealousy.
i wan to fug kirino
When companies make products that don't break. Kinda obvious but the answer is most likely never, at least with capitalism around
Obsolete doesn't mean your phone is unusable. It means your phone is out of date. In a year there will be no reason to buy your phone because you will be able to get something even better or you will be able to get something similar for much less.
arisuchan
>me
>buy moto X play for 250$
>install lineageOS
>proceed to run laps around samsung/apple phones because of the lack of bloatware hogging things up in the background
oooh, frittata.
>he fell for the Sup Forums poorfag moto phones meme
LOL
Bought a S4 for 400 bucks 3-4 years ago and I'm still using it. There's literally no reason to buy a new phone unless the old one breaks down.
I'm still using an iPhone 5, I don't know if I want a 6 or just some other phone. The only reason to use an iPhone is when everyone else is (which they are).
>cannot download apps anymore
This only happens on iPhones, Android 4.4 still gets Play Services updates and can run most apps on the Play Store with no problem.
