This is not the international standard plug

>this is not the international standard plug

Yeah, but how do you plug in into a pigs nose?

...

kek

>ground and neutral can be reversed
what a shit plug.

Why do you assume the prong without insulation is the hot line?

I've never in my life had any problems with that, is that a problem that exists with shitty Britbong wiring where you need to have fuses in every plug?

ground is probably in the middle

but that means you can still mix up live and neutral which makes it as shit as schuko

>but that means you can still mix up live and neutral which makes it as shit as schuko
Please, explain how this is a problem?

Good comment desu

lol what?

>he doesn't have AC
what the fuck?

while grounded, touch a neutral wire, then touch a live wire

And how is that a problem? Do you tend to strip down wires and connect them to your socket?

Flimsy. Breaks.

lmao;d irl

For example, an appliance with a switch. You'd connect the live wire on the switch so when it's turned off nothing in the appliance is live. If it's reversible the switch can be on the neutral wire and it will still be live.
Or light bulb sockets, it's better to have live on the bottom, which is harder to reach, than on the thread.

I've never heard anyone talk about this outside of Sup Forums. Is it really such a big issue that it's worth sacrificing being able to reverse the plug, which is sorta useful if it's an angled one, or is it just something britbongs say to justify the massive plugs they have?

That's the exact reason for ground wires and properly grounded appliances.

Literally every modern plug protects against it.

Schuko is pre-WW2 tech, where it really didn't matter.

Ure a fucking idiot and shouldnt comment on things you know nothing about.

I live in the US and I forget what the woodshop teacher said exactly but he was adamant about when replugging double insulated tools to get the plug right on high power stuff. Low power stuff like usb/laptop chargers don't matter all to much

It's only a minor issue.

Home electricity is pretty safe.
Even if things go wrong in the vast majority of cases you only get a painful shock and nothing more.

And all the appliances sold in the EU have to comply with safety standards that fix any issues you might have from reversing neutral and hot.

I think he meant don't mix up ground with hot or neutral.
Since that would put a charge on the "grounded" exterior case if you plug it in one way.

superior plug that can't be reversed

Shit. This is better. But I remember that the britbong one was the safest.

Euro plugs truly are the worst

Isn't that the tripple BR plug?
Doesn't look like the glorious CEE 7/16 Alternative II "Europlug" (Type C).

OP is type L, so basically Italian plug

No, BR looks more like the Swiss one:

only with shitty chink appliances that rely on the wires not being reversed

This thread is now about superior plugs.

Tesla drivers need not apply.

Why is Italian electronics so filthy and faulty?
Surely they could at the least have had their computer brand survive the 80s.

>Still Tesla compatible
>Literally EU Tesla standard
At the least they caved in, instead of going for some shitty OC snowflake connector.

Nigga we strong in robotics and heavy industry, what the fuck are you on about?

ST is (half) Italian.

>not a standard amphenol military plug

What if we used 3.5mm jacks for power

Yeah let's short mains while plugging shit in

At my house I just shave the grounding off of plugs.

>5v
>Up to 15A
>No modern connectors is built to withstand 15A
I don't fucking even
These things barely provide wattage as it is.

It only works on normal charging stations.

For fast charging stations (that aren't special snowflake Tesla "superchargers" where you have to drive 50km to find one) you need an adapter cable.

At the least there are only 2 competing supercharging standards, right?
Fuck me

...

I like UK plugs. They feel very satisfying to insert/remove.

How desperate for sex are you?

>i have Stockholm syndrome
The post

N-n-not a-at all...

Does that shit actually works or is it a meme?

I don't see why it wouldn't work?

Of course it works. The funny part is supposed to be that you can just cut the ground lug and not fool with all that bullshit.

>non-polarized plug

enjoy your shock

>this meme again

Lmaoing at your britbong appliances that have 5 kilogram plugs.

>remove a feature
>superior

Thats fine. Its not like anything has a metal housing anymore.

a male - male cable would start killing people and other fools would inadvertently fry their audio circuitry by plugging in unregulated voltages into the headphone port.
There is a reason putting a computer together is more simple than playing with legos.
