Usenet machine but it's a Banana Pi with gigabit ethernet.

I want to make 13-15 inch tablet with one. Would it work with ips laptop touch screen and what kind of adapter is needed to connect it to RPi?

mini surf machine at the living room beamer.. also internet radio box

It sits in the closet gathering dust

this

can you rpifags just stop with tehse duking threads already?

i have two of them, one is in the living room streaming movies with kodi, and the other one is actually my main computer where i do all my programming and surfing and stuff
being poor is fun

I torrent with it. Mostly tranny porn off a private traps-only tracker.

(OP)
Up until Monday it was playing a continuous stream of 20s and 30s big band era music and music tv shows like Lawrence Welks and Frank Sinatra for my great grandma. I'm not sure what I should do with it now.

I am sorry for your loss user

retropie
pihole custom dns
ssh

*hug*

lies
youre a fucking moron unless this is some pasta

I'm going to buy one next week for torrenting my Japanese animes

Wish me luck

server to ssh into from outside my network. also git server. pretty neat, just set it and forget about it.

in the middle of trying to debug a gitlab container on 9 node raspi2 docker swarm, tis not behaving at all

Sorry, just a moron as evidenced by this video I took when I made it

youtu.be/ZVbDaDGOG5s

currently: a usb charger for my pax
when motivation strikes: vpn / torrent box / ip cam server

I have TWO sitting in a bin. Worst $100 I ever spent in my life

>doctor who
what are you, gay?

Mine are currently laying dormant in a closet. I haven't been able to bother setting them up after I moved. I might however one day make a music player out of them when I get a decent set of speakers and an amp.

Mine buys things for me that I can resell on eBay and Amazon.

It also torrents, serves files, a website, dlna and OpenVPN.

idols.

damn, ok sorry.

LW always seemed like what would be broadcast in hell on all channels.

this to be honest
I just use my PC and Wii for emulation so it serves no purpose for me

>Mine buys things for me that I can resell on eBay and Amazon.
go on....

I wrote a pretty basic shell script with a cron job and expanded from there.
It alerts me to my phone if it gets something im looking for.
I get home from work, list anything new and then ship it out.
It's adding about £1,000 a month to my income right now.

One of my Pi Zeroes is an OpenVPN server, a few weeks ago I discovered NoIP which makes it even easier to use since my router has a habit of changing its public IP every now and then.

Home automation master race.

This. Also motion and Owncloud test server. Can anybody tell, is there an improvement of Owncloud on Rpi3 before Rpi2?

Running pihole.

I have a dual socket Xeon for my server duties. My Rpi3 is for RetroPie.

Pi-Hole, PiVPN and DHCP Server

Amibian, Retropie

Can I connect my Pi to a VPN to use it as a pirate box?
It's important to never ever leak the connection

Owncloud is deprecated. Nextcloud is the successor and the Rpi is not the correct board for this setup. The USB and Ethernet are on the same bus so they compete for bandwidth. Get a Odroid-C1 or another SoC similar.

I used to use it for retropie, but then I dropped it and broke it. Power supply broke off for those wandering

Fuck nigger

i use it as i2p box for torrents (4 usb sticks with 128gb for seeding lol )

>ssh

Pi-Hole.

ordered a orange pi zero

will use as a core for headmounted display

I use it as a simple controller for MPD, to change and pause my music.
it's convenient and i don't have anything other to really do with it

not but i'm interested

can i use rp or odroid-c1 with an old pata hdd? do you think there would be compatibility issues?

Yes.

One for simple tinkering and regular use with Raspian

One is a small home server using Ubuntu Server 16.04.2, it mainly hosts web services that I use at home for personal things like a wiki and CMS that I use for keeping track of personal projects and for keeping notes/guides for myself for certain things I need to do (I am a 3D artist so I often use it to keep track of plugins I use, settings, project goals, etc)

One is a Lakka emulation box mainly for NES/SNES/Genesis

One is in the living room using OSMC with a USB Hard drive as a media center.

You'd need a USB converter.

I used my SBC to read Btrfs drives on OS X by using sshfs. Now I use it for writing stuff to SD cards since I lost my card reader.

I see that user posts in server gen. What a fucking kike.

It is a pretty neat setup though

Get an odroid or something with a sata cable. Devuan has an armhf build that would work fine on one.

yeah no-one should ever actually enjoy their hobby eh?

The bus on those rpies is not enough for that setup. Can you say trickle down bandwidth

Uptime machine with slackware for screenfetch threads

Correct!

mounting an asus tinker board onto a 3.5" hdd bay. thoughts?

9 x 100M and 1 GB uplink - it's fine

We use them at work.

We deployed an electron app onto one to run screens that display horse racing data on race tracks.

Yes electron, because it was meant to be a prototype but we ended up having to ship it.

I bought one to replace my Pi3. Just got rid of it in the end. If you're fine with a completely unsupported board then do it. I wasn't though.

My school handed out flash drives that looked similar to that when they failed to fix the server that saved all of our shit. The server would reset over night and erase everyones files.

So the school bought a bunch of chink shit flash drives and gave it to all of the students and teachers.
About half way though the year somewhere between 25% and 75% of those flash drives broke and wouldn't even read in the computer. So many people lost all of their shit.

Mine runs apcupsd and manages power to my home server in case of outages.

Hope that fat old bitch burns in hell

Raspian, and NoTrack

T-thanks

Y-you too

One running Pihole, can't live without it.

Bought a second one to setup a server but it's been more than a week and I haven't done anything with it.

I use an Odroid C2 as my nextcloud server.

you're a DickHole

Good taste
Alice best girl

super pitendo

find some touchscreen from a laptop and find one of these that work

RPi2B - uMurmur with MPD + GMusic plugin, bottlenecked to about 20 people by the lack of Gigabit. IP camera for front door and VPN exit. Thinking about the new Banana.

Guy at work keeps making little game consoles out of Altoid tins.

Bless you

Mine is sitting in a drawer because I got an odroid C2 instead.

Details?

Why the fuck would you do this? The point of a pirate box is to be disconnected completely.

I run rasplex on one of my Pi 3s, works pretty smooth after an overclock, it doesn't go above 40*C because I fabricated a heatsink and attached a fan to it.

My other one is a whore. I do lots of weird projects with it. I don't piss with RetroPi because I have an overbuilt computer that does nothing but emulation up to PS2 and Gamecube at 4K. I don't need 4K, so it's butter smooth at 1440p.

I did a big project with cheap Orange Pis to BTFO my ISP. It seems to be working.

GUYS DO YOU WATCH COMMUNITY?? DO YOU LIKE BACON?? XD

WHAT TIME DOES THE NARWHAL BACON!!

>fire_hazard.com

24/7 torrent machine

I use it as a SEAFILE server and acts as my personal cloud.

Pi-hole on a B+, PiAware on a Pi3.

Kodi + Private Internet Access
and another for retropi

You just need an HDMI adapter card which tends to be custom made for the screen you have. From there you just need to get a touch screen that connects over USB.

I believe it's called a Minty Pi? Just a little screen, pi zero w, Altoids tin, buttons, 3d printed bits. Runs old 8 and 16 bit emulators via retroarch

It's on jewtube faggot - youtube.com/watch?v=cQC2TvR6uiU

ODROID C2, torrents, IRC bouncer, FTP server

Retropi, overclocking fuckery, and cooling mod fuckery. Used it for some class projects but it just made things more difficult.

THIS is a good idea. Wanna share the script? ;)

Pi Hole. Prevents ads on your entire network. I run it on an old netbook but it works just as well on a Pi

>nice double dubs

whats the big project with the isp? elaborate

...

Shitty finish on the epoxied part.

Sand down and paint it to match the case.

xD

I'm not a child, so I don't have a Raspberry Pi. I do have an Odroid-C2 cluster for meme-intensive lab tasks, sitting in my server rack.

Are any of the non-Raspberry Pi boards worth it if you like to use complete OSes on them? I've seen boards so much more powerful than the Pi but at the same time I've never seen anything like Raspian or Ubuntu Server or OSMC, etc that supports them.

There's also the software side, the Pi being so ubiquitous leads it to also having a ton of software support. Every OS working with all the hardware out of the box, entire media players like Omxplayer built for the hardware (leading it to being absolutely the best player for it).

Depends what u wanna use it for. Debian mainline armhf with mainline kernel usually supports booting & running, terminal on UART, handling sata and ethernet which is enough for running servers for it

Tip: You can find x86 intel computing sticks and knockoffs for cheaper than a pi 3.
