I fucking hate Webpack. It has to be the most convoluted build tool ever created. Anyone who claim to successfully comprehend it's endless jungle of middlewares, plugins, configurations, versions and pissfarts is a lying sack of Donald Trump dicks.

I'm forced to use it because my lead dev is a cuck who is imprisoned by the latest/gayest shit.
He'll have us move to something else in next week, once I understand webpack.
good alternatives?
grunt
gulp

for a second I read that wrong.lol b != p
>when you spend more time on boilerplate then the actual project
it's pretty easy, but you need to actually make some effort to understand it. webdevs these days expect just to mindlessly copy-paste shit and never make any real effort at understaning something
it really pays off in the end though. nothing comes even close to the node.js ecosystem right now in web dev.
Aren't those just general build systems? I think Browserify and Rollup would be actual alternatives. I recently had to start working on a new frontend project, and settled on Browserify since it seemed to be the most straight forward and integrated well with my existing tooling.
doesnt seem too complicated pham, you must be a brainlet.
Comes close to what? a bloated project with a gazilion folders?
>a bloated project with a gazilion folders?
yeah, thats a bit fucked up, specially that npm doesnt give a fuck if you have those dependencies installed somewhere else already.
