Thinking of replacing my mouse. The G403 is rated highly, will it last a while? Does anybody know the material? A lot of the mice I've owned start to wear out because of my greasy hands.
Mice thread
I don't want this to happen to it
Its not rubberized like that deathadder. Even the newer deathadder 2k13 or newer won't have that problem.
G102/203, no non-sense coating and all matte plastic body fit for sweaty hand.
I am in the same boat, I have a lachesis (love it so much!) but the cord is finally starting to go and it looks like hell.
razerzone.com
and
steelseries.com
are up for consideration, do you think the logitech is pretty comparable?
Aren't the sides rubberized?
If you mean G403 then yes, but not G102/203.
Then wash your hands u heckin r*tard
I don't know about G403 but I have G502 and it's definitely the best mouse I've ever used.
I switched to G403 after using IE 3.0 for almost 10 years. I've tried a few other mices during that time but nothing could replace the 3.0 until I got G403. It's a great mouse for smaller hands and for claw and palm grip. However, it takes time getting used to it. I also noticed that I aim better with smaller and lighter mices.
Gotcha, I'll look into that one but I'm not sure if I prefer the shape over the G403, I kinda like the indentation on the left side.
Do you notice the rubber sides wearing out at all?
I haven't. But then, I've only used mine for one month. You should look up "Rocket jump ninja"-channel on Youtube. He's a professional Quake player who makes reviews on a lot of mices.
G403 is one of those mice that will last forever
Do yourself a favour and go fetch a g700s which is still in stock in many shops.
I bought a g700 in 2010, which is the same mouse with the g700s, and i am bought a g700s for when my g700 dies.
It's in the box waiting, w/o the battery ofc, to be called for duty.
I've been through two DeathAdders. They're ridiculously comfortable, but they always descend into the bullshit doubleclick bug and you can only open it up and clean the contacts so many times.
On the other hand, I've yet to have a Logitech mouse crap out on me, so that's what my next purchase will be (maybe a G502?). The first mouse I bought personally was a MX518 and it still fucking works. Razer is shit.
I went from a lachesis to G403.
First day/ 2 days were uncomfortable, hands got cramped and the mouse just didn't feel right.
After that, it's my favourite mouse that I've owned. Smooth movement, buttons click.
One problem is that, because I got used to the big buttons of the lachesis, I keep hitting the left button too close to the wheel, which causes me to hit part of the chassis around the wheel with my finger.
If you plan on getting the G403, make sure to set up your profile on the mouses internal memory with the logitech software, which you can later uninstall.
besides the battery life being horrible i really enjoy this mouse
Whats Sup Forums opinion on the G402?
that's not hand smegma. but rather the material from the mouse slowly getting scraped from the mouse due to your skin constantly touching it
just got one myself. It seems more precise than my 502 and at least the battery is just a replaceable AA style.
absolute shit in terms of ergonomics, but extra buttons are placed well, and the roccat software allows for macros and shit
I love my G403. The only problem I have with it is wishing the scroll wheel had more responsiveness. My MX518 could spam click the scroll wheel, but you only get 1 click on the G403. No wear on the sides after however long it's been out, got one right at launch.
I have that. It's been good to me.
I just found a Logitech G302 in perfect condition at a Goodwill today for five bucks and… holy crap, it feels so much nicer than Razer mice. I had no idea.
Bless me, Sup Forums, for I have sinned. I confess the error of my ways. Tell me my penance.
I have that mouse (alongside the Prodigy Keyboard) for 2 months now.
Its holds up surprisingly very well, still feels relative new.
The only thing I kinda dislike is the side buttons felt a bit cheap in design. But its not clunky at all
>using anything but g502
Absofuckinglutely.
Best mouse I have ever owned. Feels good, good customization, looks nice, durable, weight's right, and so on and so on...
>G502
Use to love that one until I got G102. While I'm not mind the weight of G502, the shape is terrible.
Ironically I hate the G102 at first sight but now it's my 2nd daily driver.
>inb4 small hand
My hand is large enough for Cooler Master Sentinel 3.
1ms response time and 12000 dpi make it not any worse than the best gaming mice out there
it feels comfortable, the cord is strong and braided and the side buttons feel better than on the deathadder, my only complaint about it is the scroll wheel material is kind of scratchy moulded rubber and i imagine after a few months of use it will smooth over, however it feels fine tuned and responsive like the rest of the mouse
I love the design and extra buttons BUT it's too small even for my hands and no 3366 sensor
G403 is great, apparently there's some issues with qc, some mice have a rattle, mine is fine tho, the side buttons feel a little cheap, and you can press the dpi switch by accident, overall a 9/10 mouse
Side rubberey material, top plastic, and cord are showing no signs of wear and I've had mine since the first day it was available, I have cleaned it regularly tho
Button placement on the 502 is what ruined it for me, I really only ever used the two forwardmost thumb buttons, everything else was painfully distant for gaming. The G900 rectified this and now I have 4 readily accessible buttons without having to remove my active fingers to actuate them.
>the cord is strong and braided
Sound more like con than pro to me.
i have the g703 (same thing but wireless and supports wireless charging) and it's great except that logi's mousefeet are garbage and there's not a very good selection of aftermarket replacements
>2017
>not using water cooled mice
I don't even know why I bother to visit Sup Forums anymore. It's just a bunch of kids who don't know shit about technology.
What is that? The only thing I seen of Siemens are their PLCs and the PLC software.
Just got my Zowie FK2. Really enjoying it so far.
Yeah this is the answer for the sweating retard op, no rubber for your filthy hand rot to melt away
This is true. I actually bought the FK2 to replace my FK 2013 edition. The 2013 edition's mouse 3 stopped working correctly but the rest of the mouse was pretty much untouched. Minimal if any wear on the mouse's material. I gave it to a friend after my FK2 arrived.
The sides are rubberised, just got one the other day as I haven't used an ergo mouse in years, went back to g pro after a couple of days.
deathadder elite
Dream Machines DM1 pro s is nice, basically a SS Sensei with a 3360 sensor, comes in matt or glossy and reasonably priced.
Very good mouse.
I have the G403 and I like it, but I recently got the G602 for my work laptop and like it a lot more.
i feel sorry for you. the g602 is a pile of dog shit. i actually remember reading that out of 1,000 people surveyed, 985 of their mouse wheels and buttons broke within 6 months of buying it. next time you want to throw $40 out the window just let me know and i'll give you my paypal info. thanks
It's a Siemens water cooled mouse, pretty sure it's called B41T.
So aggressive, calm down user its just a 40 dollar mouse.
What wireless programmable mouse would you have recommend?
Anyone got any recomendations for a guy who suffers with hyperhidrosis in his hands?
See
What's a nice mouse to move to? I currently have one of pic related for my potato laptop, but I'm getting a gaymin laptop (space restrictions/need a portable machine) that I'll do image editing on too.
Need something cheaper than $50 that's not edgy gaming meme shit and will last a few years like my current has
Pic related in question
I've been looking at the Thermaltake Ventus X. Worth a punt?
That is quite obviously air cooled you twat
Steelseries rival 310 or sensei 310 (idk what the price is too lazy to check)
Or get yourself a logitech 203 or 102.
When will the sniper button meme end?
get a fingertip mouse
Never. It's dumb as shit I agree, but idiots eat that shit up.
I recently picked one up to replace an old MX518 that finally kicked the bucket (G403 is too expensive where I live)
It's a good mouse and largely has the same feel as the MX518, but I wish I had gone for the G102 since I realized my grip is much more claw/hybrid than palm.
currently using ozone argon ocelote world
What's a cheap, wired optical mouse? i absolutely adore my logitech m510, but i hate changing out it's batteries
G102/203
Hey, people with mouse experience. What's your take on mice with more than the standard number of buttons? I was thinking of pic related but it doesn't seem to be available in Europe without a ridiculously high markup. I also noticed that the G502 has tons of buttons.
I'd rather stay away from Razer products since they're way too fragile according to friends' experience.
I never use the extra buttons on my G502.
There's also the Corsair Scimitar if you want an mmo mouse like that.
>tfw my g400s has been good to me for years
G100s
Logi MX510. Best mouse I used.
i've got that mouse, and i like it
I don't use all the buttons since I'm mostly playing an FPS, but it does help with stuff like reloading, opening doors, etc etc. Especially in games where you're on WASD the whole time
Any reason the G403 over the Sup ForumsPro?
no
Whats that button for
Lowers DPI, supposedly makes sniping easier
best mouse coming thru
But its just a dpi toggle button most mice have
Ok well then just placed my order
Thanks!
It's a second dpi adjustment button, there's the normal one on top which cycles between dpi levels, the thumb button is probably programmable, but it's default function is to hold the dpi at a lower setting until you release it
Ayo senpai you also deal with Siemens PLC/PLM bullshit?
Working for a company that uses Teamcenter/SE/RA/SC here.
what's the comfies non-gaming mouse with all "common" extra buttons (back, forward, scroll) to replace my disappeared Intelli 1.1? should I go for newer intellis? Just looking for something that will last 15 years again
Everything but Logitech mx performance is a meme. Inb4 >wireless kill yourself you brainless fuck the 1 millisecond of latency does not matter
>Just bought a g203 and keep accidentally clicking the mouse buttons
I feel even the slightest pressure I have on the mouse keys will activate it.
Focus on moving the mouse with your thumb and pinky. Youre probably moving the mouse with the fingers that are on the mouse buttons.
I have this mouse. I like it. You can program each rgb color to be any DPI setting you want and toggle between however many different ones you want. Kinda cool. I wish it had a bit more weight to it and I wish it ambidextrous in that the right half resembled the left half because my pinky feels weird like hanging off of it, but otherwise the shape is near perfect. I also have an MX Master that I use less and less as I find it a bit bulky although as far as quality goes it's one of the best mice I've ever owned and the thumb button and scroll wheels are fucking ace
thinking of picking up the logitech g903 or 703 for the lighspeed charging mousepad. thoughts?
> (You)
>Ayo senpai you also deal with Siemens PLC/PLM bullshit?
>Working for a company that uses Teamcenter/SE/RA/SC here.
Nah, Allen Bradley over here.
post a more comfortable mouse
whats a good mouse under $18?
I own razer diamondback 3g (2007 edition) from like 2008.
Never had any issues with it, pretty much constant use, it even looks good.
Great if you're ambidextrous, which is why I bought it in the first place.
go up to $30 and get this
gaming.logitech.com
it's worth it
yeah, no
i only have $18 to spend on a mice since the one im currently using broke a few hours ago and i dont have a replacement
dont worry, ill buy a good one when i get the $$$
I mean, if you're really desperate. Steal a mouse from the library or school
Is that not the G703? I'm using the exact same mouse as far as visuals are concerned right now and it's labeled G703.
im not that desperate dude and i'll not resort to stealing shit
maybe ill just buy like a really basic logitech one
