how's iOS 11 working for you guys so far? downgraded today since the design inconsistencies were really bugging the shit out of me.

Never leaving 9.3.3

>downgraded
LOL.. this is how I know you're a shill just making up shit about iOS. you're just some butthurt pajeet making his 50 rupees per post.
I won't tell you how you fucked up but you've never used iOS.

Yeah, not great.
I don't care for the new notifications screen, that's just the lock screen.
There's also a few other things going on that I don't care for.

Currently, I can't recommend it.

its ios 10 but when i pull up from the bottom its slightlt different
groundbreaking

Apple is still signing 10.3 IPSWs, you can shift click in itunes to "downgrade" like you've always been able to, at least until Apple stops signing them. That said, I'm not going to downgrade, they already have a fix in the beta pipe that fixes all my gripes with 11.

...

I didn't care for it at first. Now I'm "meh." It's fine.

>It doesn't allow you to clear all notifications, it clears older ones, but keeps newer ones without clearing
>My 5s has had so many app crashes and has needed to be restarted so many times
>shit is just slow
>my alarm now only vibrates when my phone is on vibrate, when previously the alarm was always full volume in vibrate mode
I should def. have waited for the first patch before subjecting my poor 5s to this torture. Very little optimization

Im hesitant to update, i have ipad air 1, some dudes say its fine, other dude said its even faster then ios10was which i highly doubt, and then there are the guys who say its shit.

I... what?
what are you even trying to say?

device? battery drain on my 6 is annoying.

your phone's showing its age, I think.

Still on iOS 9. I really hope that upgrading to High Sierra won't require iOS11 for messages/SMS sync.

What are the design inconsistencies? I couldn't handle Windows 10 because of them. It is absolutely horrible. I always assumed Apple wouldn't do this to me. Fuck.

Oh, so you're telling me that iOS is fucked up AGAIN?

Funny, I thought iOS was supposed to be this hassle/problem-free thing that just werks.

"Nothing changed: The update" on my SE.

The battery drain might be due Applel not deactivating wifi/bluetooth from control center but only in the setting menu.

I read somewhere online - Quora, I think - that design-by-committee is becoming more common in Apple, hence the oddities below.

you'll find the full list here:

what really ticked me off were the chunky fonts and their lack of alignment across apps, the stutter while swiping, and the video scrubber being moved to the bottom. it's a real hassle skipping scenes when your thumb can't reach down as well as your pointer finger when the scrubber was on top.

>your phone's showing its age, I think.
It was rocking out on ios10, just as smooth as ever

>hackernoon.com/dive-into-the-details-of-ios-11-is-apple-still-detail-oriented-fe70af065a7d

That is fucking horrible.

The top comment as well,

>uhhh they have hundreds of people and many teams, you can't expect them to get it all the same.

No, I pay thousands of dollars, they have billions of dollars of cash sitting around, I expect them to do better than what a single guy in China can do. Have a set of guidelines, if the apps don't match it, tell the teams to fix it. Fuck, it is not hard.

I imagine there is no one around to scream like an autist anymore.

iOS 10, yeah. watching its boot time and general usage on 11 reminds me of a 4s being bogged by 8 and above, which surprises me, since the 5s and 6 aren't that much different inside.
I suppose you'll have to wait till they polish the OS further, though. it still doesn't feel finished like others here have mentioned.

maybe this video will give you some perspective:

>I imagine there is no one around to scream like an autist anymore.
it'd sure help their sanity, but not their money and customer loyalty lol

Its working fine for me, I prefer the control panel as swiping up was a pain due to the case.

what are you going to do in a few months when you won't be able to update your apps?

also

Working perfectly for me.

the 4s on 9.3.5 still runs most apps people use today. I'd imagine my 6 on 10.3.3 will have a longer lifespan, and even then I wouldn't give a fuck since Safari does what I need.

also fuck you man lol

not even battery drain?

I don't like how sometimes in the home screen, you swipe up to get to the control center, then you swipe down and you can see the notification screen in the background and once you let go it immediately switches to the notifications.
Sometimes it does that, sometimes you must drag down the control center first.

What I like about it is the new control center and that's pretty much it.

can u link these fixes? i want to see

Globe Philippines?

breddy gud on my iPad Air 2. The dock is very handy, I haven't seen any of the reported annoyances yet, and Files is long overdue.

But I don't rely on my iPad for anything... if I had an iPhone I would probably have waited for a point release just in case.

They removed the fucking pressure press left edge to multitask function because they though no body used it

the one and only. Smart can suck a dick.

yeah that's one of those bugs. there's a certain spot where you can keep pulling the notification screen while the Control Center's up. I do miss the Low Power and cellular switch in the Control Center, but I figured I'll wait till they sort out the rest of the mess first.

>press left edge to multitask
never heard of it lol gonna have to look that up.

they really fucked up there.

Yeah that sucks. I used it a lot to get to minikeepass.

>low power and cellular switch
Straight on. The only two things I need quick access of.
>smart/globe
Ayo senpai suck my dick, for real though does Globe have a great pre paid plan with calls/text/data? I’m on prepaid because fuck thinking about monthly bills.

depends on your needs, really. I know Smart has some tempting internet promos, but only old people use Smart lol. probably 80% of people are on Globe, and mostly everyone you know is probably included in that percentage.
the real problem with Globe are their text advisories, though; they leech your load and there's no reliable way to turn them off. fucking assholes.

what are you gonna do? never update? what are you 70 years old and need things the way they always were? move on with the rest of the world

NEVER

>turn off WiFi and Bluetooth from the control panel
>it doesn't actually turn them off

Infuriating. The worst part is it isn't a bug, they wanted it that way.

fucking hate it. battery is dropping like fucking crazy just sitting on my desk doing nothing, shits buggy and crashes apps a lot. cant downgrade cause of apples stupid fucking system where an ios 11 backup wont restore on 10.3.3. i really wish my job didn't require me to have an iphone (all my clients use iphones) as i would switch to android in a heartbeat. also fucking sucks android has constant issues texting and group texting iphone users, thats pretty much why i cant switch.

this

>where an ios 11 backup wont restore on 10.3.3
the server was down. it should be fine now; I just did the downgrade earlier.

I wouldn't be surprised if they fix it in later releases. pretty retarded.

no like i did a backup while i was on 11, restored to 10.3 but itunes wouldnt allow me to restore from the 11 backup

well yeah they're different OS's. sorry to hear that.

iOS died with 7

the UI's flat, but the features make up for it. iOS 6 is too dated these days.
shame, really; I'm a fan of the skeuomorphism. it's got personality.

This. I'm still on 9.3.5 with my 6s and don't want to upgrade because I can't go back.

Battery life is great, aesthetic is good, buttons turn off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth correctly, etc.

it has fucked my se badly. on youtube tapping video links delivers no response.

how much screen-on time do you get?
man, I'd love to run even iOS 8 on this thing. I miss the old Music interface.

app or browser?

Runs like shit on my iPhone 6 plus. I'm gonna downgrade now while I can. Most annoying is Siri, which I really only use to set alarms before bed, takes like 15 fucking seconds to do the task now, when it used to work almost instantly.

I sure hope you made a backup. just rushed it today and I forgot to save some files.

Yeah I made one in iOS 10.2 before I upgraded to 11. Should be able to restore it after downgrading to 10.3.3 right?

Glitchy and full of strange animation bugs. At least the battery is stable. New control center that's ""customizable"", but you can't really move anything that matters makes me REEE. They got rid of header background on notifications, so I guess maybe in a couple of years it will finally match Android in that department. Overall would not recommend. Wait for 11.1.

sure. got my settings restored from 9.2 when I upgraded to 9.3.5 on my 4s.

>battery is stable
device?

phone 7

Craig Federighi said that the multi-task force press was temporarily removed for 'technical reasons' and said that it should return in a future update. I think it probably seemed like a bug to most people, and they'll eventually add it back as a deep settings options.

Doesn't seem like a big deal. Are you concerned about battery life?

Yeah, it's so comfy. Have my jailbreak and don't feel like I'm missing anything

shit man I really wanna know how you survive without the headphone jack.

it's like having to go down to the circuit breaker to kill the power on the top floor because none of the switches are working.
something went wrong with the wiring.

Was on a 6 up until I preordered an 8+. Used it for 2 days and hated everything about it. Weighs about 11 pounds, fucking glass back makes it slide off EVERYTHING like greased lightning. iOS 11 was the final straw. Fucking cartoony looking garbage.

Returned the 8+ for a discounted glorious 7 128GB and iOS 10. Fuck that shit.

I am on iOs 11 since public beta 1 and it is a shit show.
Actually the last public beta was more stable than the gm we have now.
My iphone 6 is slow as fuck, almost as slow as my ipad2. Battery drains a bit faster and it just looks like iOs10. So yeah, can't recommend it.

I am really disappointed with apple lately and I think I will get galaxy s8 or something

>how you survive without the headphone jack
I have no particular need for it. I use wireless earphones when doing sports or cycling. Car audio in the car. A separate DAP with IEMs when hiking. And a proper stationary set-up at home and work.

huh... come to think of it, Apple never showed off the phone's weight during the announcement.
is it that heavy? should've just gotten the smaller 8...

Bixby's still floating around on the S8. hopefully they'll change the button to a fingerprint sensor for the S9. it'd make more sense.

not bad. the sound quality through the Lightning port is really clear, too.

>sound quality through the Lightning port
>tech board

It's closer to iPad mini weight than iPhone 7 weight. Buddy got the regular 8, I hated that too. Not too heavy, but noticeably heavier than my old 6. Same problem with being engineered to slip into every sofa and get lost. I'm perfectly content with the 7.

I am ashamed. I was impressed with what I heard.

with the added weight, they should've just gone ahead and flushed the camera with the back.
