I just went in for a minor issue on my 7+ and walked out with a brand new phone. Also during the process I asked how much a new airpods case would be because mine was dirty and they gave me a new one for free. I know they are at least $100. Apple rules. Just still not sure about the fucking notch.

I never said I was "seriously considering" shit. I have a new phone I am in no rush to get another. My entire point was that I was not interested in the X at all, but Apple has been sweet to me so I'm remaining open about it. Most likely I'm waiting for the next version.

I know SEVERAL people who've taken their Macs to two local Apple stores for minor issues, and in all cases Apple said they were unfixable and they should buy brand new computers instead. Two of them took the bait and now I know two grandmothers who check their email once a week with new MacBook Pro Retinas.

It's also $1000, which is a lot to spend on a device that'll be obsolete faster than the standard iPhone models. Not to mention probably dropped in the toilet or stolen before that.

Serious answer: I think the iPhone X is objectively worse than 8 or 8+ for practical use.
And that's mostly because it doesn't have a fingerprint scanner.

The only way for that to not matter is if you either don't lock your phone at all or if you prefer to use a long password anyway.
Everyone else will be impacted negatively. No, the fucking face scanner is not just as good. It will not work as reliably in all circumstances, even Apple admitted that.

It has tech that most Android phones have had since 2015, it's not worth a cent of the Price, pure garbage
