Ok, now i'm paranoid

Can someone help me, this is kinda making me paranoid. I just came from work and see my PC is turned on ( i don't leave it on when i'm away from home) and someone is CLEARY remotely using it. That someone was using my ebay/paypal to buy a Nvidia GTX 1080 that costs around $1000 on ebay and he or she was just about to check out ( nevermind that i don't have that balance on my prepaid linked to paypal) and then i ALT+F4 to turn off chrome, and then i see this persons cursor moving down to the system tray and then the remote control stopped and i saw a system icon disappear and i didn't have the time to see what software was doing this. My family couldn't be the ones 'cause they can't even turn on the PC.
Help!
P.S. There were 3 tabs opened in chrome, 1 was my account settings for paypal, one was of my ebay account settins and the third was the graphics card just being "bought". Oh yea, and a random folder from my desktop was opened ( that i never usually open)

Format your hard drive and reinstall Windows, it's the only way to be sure.

>reinstall Windows
WRONG, install gentoo.

>keeping session cookies / passwords stored in browser

Well I was the only one using it.....up until now.....

install linspire

>FMMMMMMMMMMM

>WHY DONT WE JUST RELAX AND TURN ON THE RADIO? WOULD YOU LIKE AAAM OR FFFFFFFFFMMMMMMMM

Format your HDD, then install Linux

Just buy a Mac dude

Why are you all telling me to switch to linux?

Cos there are more programs for linux than for Windows

Programs? Isn't linux crap with mainstream software compatibility?

whylinuxisbetter.net/en/

Should i format all my hdds or just the system one?

Nuke from orbit and install gentoo.

if you have to ask this, then you're not paranoid

Memes, mostly.

check out which processes or services are running, als check if windows remote session has been disabled.

find the cause to it.

Don't fucking hesitate.

FORMAT NOW AND INSTALL NEW OS

>Isn't linux crap with botnet software compatibility?
Yes

Because linux is Free as in Freedom

I don't care about price, I pirate the shit out of everything

>reinstall Windows
OY VEY

FREE AS IN FREEDOM != FREE AS IN FREE BEER

free as in freedom. not free as in beer. kys.

it's funny, because I might actually have started with linux because it was for free (as in beer) and so you can just try it out

but then I got sucked into the vortex of nerd-dom and never managed to escape the event horizon, to get off that gateway drug that is linux.

2 years into using ubuntu was the first time I encountered the term "freetard" on a debian forum. I had dabbled in gentoo and arch before, but the die-hard tinfoil vibe I got from the debian community quickly engulfed my inexperienced and impressionable idealistic younger self.

just format that shit and start fresh.

Or install a new os. I wouldn't even be asking what to do. It's obvious something infected your Pc.

What's the source of the image you posted? I need to know

Nuke everything or just system hdd?

How the fuck did someone even remotely access your shit, I know disabling remote access in windows isn't full proof so what did you download?

I don't know, I came home my pc was on.

My entire division is having the same problem. I don't use my work PC for personal stuff so I don't care about stolen data, but it does bother me. I warned the help desk and they didn't do anything so far.

Are intruders really accessing computers after we turn them off? I checked the bios settings and it doesn't even support wake up on lan

redormat but do not install windows
especially do not install windows you downloaded for free. but let's face it you probably have a root kit for being normiesec

Switch to GNU/Linux.

What bothers me is how in hell did the guy remotely turned on your computer.

Thats the million dollar question

wake on lan install when pc was up

then replace shutdown with sleep.exe

opee is clearly too clever to notice a difference

You don't even need to do that on Wingdings. Just wait for Microsoft to backdoor its forced updates and you it turns on for you.

install Linux. seriously.

I'm being serious, wipe everything and reinstall. This is the only way to be sure that your computer is clean. Then change all your password. Make sure all your accounts are under your email address and such. Consider using two-factor authentication. You need to lock down everything.

install ubuntu

Neat.
