Your IDE of choice

>Your IDE of choice
>What you use it for

I use linux as an ide.
I develop hobby AI's n shit.

IntelliJ IDEA is like heroin for me. I hate doing Java without it now.

>Windows 10
>Fun

That's an OS, not an IDE? Are you autistic?

I like idea but just seems to give me an information overload with all the warnings, menus and options. I just end up going back to eclipse.

intelliJ if whatever I'm doing is supported by it.

I mostly do python, js, etc. Prefer vim and if I need any specific feature there's extensions. Once you know the command line, it's quite liberating as you aren't bound to any specific tool. Unix philosophy!

Vim
C, C++, Lua, Assembly

>codelite
>copypasting shit to linsucks csgo cheat
i dont care how shit it is or anything and barely know a shit about programming but works for my copypasting purposes

I use Visual Studio 2015 on a virtual machine for C++ projects involving Windows and Vim for about everything else

IDEs are for morons that can't program without handholding

t. unemployed

same. eclipse gets pushed over it in classes though.

Visual Studio Community edition for C++ assignments.

>intellij
>java, kotlin

>vscode
>ts, python, go

>eclipse
>java, python

>vs code
>python

>vim
>c, c++

vim is just fine
at work i just use it for Javascript/python shit
though i use it for C++ stuff at home

I hate it, laggy piece of shit

What should I use for frontend work?

Don't make fun of me

why do people here hate eclipse?

Vscode for Python, Java, C#

Vim for C, TeX

>IntelliJ Idea
>Java

>using macroshit
>ever
please tell me you at least didn't pay for it

>microcuck
wew lad enjoy the botnet

I dont. it's my main IDE when programming in java

You have no IDEa what you're talking about.

It's pretty slow and a little bloated if you already know what you're doing.

It also offers too much assistance to all the asm peddling l33t h4x0rs on here who assume that convenience = a neutered programming experience.

Vscode and C# are both open-source you mong.

>Eclipse
>EVERYTHING O_O

What is this IDE?

Im asking if you know why people do, Im not saying you do

>opensouce

its still made by microshit, so its shit

all i know is hes a fucking macfag

geany
everything

Visual Studio Community
C++

PHPStorm
for PHP

Sublime Text
C++, Python, simple Java stuff at school

What version are you on?

nice logic

Cringe

What's that OP? Looks very aesthetic
Sublime/vscode/atom?

Looks like vscode

looks like macfagshit and microcuck
WORST combination

Xcode.
Cocoa.

Real men use vim and clang.

Sublime Text 3 and Spacemacs.

...

>>>/india/

Vivado with sublime for editing.

>Xcode
>Swfit/iOS

I hear that appcode is better, but Xcode is free. Still, I'm tired of the shitty performance, so I might shell out for it. I do hate the subscription model for software, though.

>KDevelop
>C, C++, Python

Started using VS code for C in linux, pretty good. Just learning so having the easier debugger GUI helps

What do all you cool kids use C and C++ for? I feel like I've failed as a CS graduate because I use Ruby and Swift.

>I've failed as a CS graduate
Bullshit.
Dont fall for the meme. all you need to do to have made the graduation worth it is to learn as many languages as possible, and from that gain an understanding of the ontology of programming. read some books on philosophy too if you want to improve as a human being, and make sure to chat about it with your friends or /his/ when you don't get it.

Sup Forums is a Sup Forums board and for that reason is nearly completely worthless to an actual programmer who gives a shit about programming or improving themslves.

Gentoo is a shitty GNU/linux OS
C and C++ are programming languages, not god incarnate
(insert 3rd thing here)

visual studio 2017 enterprise
videogame hacks

atom + platformio

whatever the fuck language arduino uses

Vim for Python, JavaScript, Haskell and C
Atom for HTML and CSS

Vscode. Is being hyped even among the main guys in fronter development today

Atom. I don't actually end up making things.

Emacs.
But both vim and emacs are text editors, they're not technically IDEs.

JetBrains for IDE (Java Spring projects, large Python projects)
Vim (bash, python, golang)
Visual Studio (javascript, html, css)

this. this so much.

I use atom for bash and python

I use it for uni stuff, and I didn't pay for it, I use community

let's see you work out that proprietary embedded toolchain yourself then tough guy

Don't worry, bootloaders don't count as handholding

I actually like Xcode and I'm not even kidding. Very simple, very easy.

vim, pycharm

Only use pycharm when I'm feeling it, which isn't often. Also get a weird bug when using the vim plugin for pycharm where it makes everything caps, have to restart pycharm to fix it so I use it even less.

I use Atom most of the time with sublime 3 as a back up. I mostly work with PHP and javascript.

>Java
>Heroin
Why doesn't that surprise me?

is this atom..?

I think is VS Code

Emacs
Fortran, C, sh scripts
