When will there be a good gaming alternative to windows 10?
When will there be a good gaming alternative to windows 10?
Windows 10 will always be the best.

Who's that slut in the pic
I wanna beat my meat to her cute pussy
There is already Linux. You can run emulators and play 20 year old Windows games through Wine :^)
Win10 tan.
shit
GNU+ Wine
Use crossover if you want better than wine.
Mods?
7 still exists.

Stop right now!
No. Just upgrade user
I think it all has to do with hw vendor support. As a casual gamedev, I can guarantee you that dev'ing for winblows is much easier than dev'ing for lunix.
And the bottom line is not "Windows is better for gaming"; the bottom line is, "windows has fucking ez pz plg n play driver support".
I use Linux on my day-to-day laptops, and have a Windows desktop at home for gaming. Linux driver support is fucking terrible, in comparison to Windows.
Just to illustrate:
If you ever come across a workstation GPU (some sort of NVidia Quadro for example), your main monitor won't turn on by default on either Debian, Arch, or Fedora. If you plug in an external monitor, though, THAT will work! So you use that to download the specific driver for the gpu, install it, you'll get a couple of errors, you ignore them reboot a few times, and *then* your main monitor ill work.
This happens way, way less with Windows. And it's really not Linux's fault.
When the next Windows comes out
Never.
Please don't lewd the operating system.
ps4
>Linux driver support is fucking terrible
I keep saying this but most people are in denial or just shills
When reactOS is in a usable state.
I remember back in 2011 when every single fucking distro was having issues with wi-fi and sound drivers. Jesus fucking christ, what a pain in the fucking balls, man. Plugging a monitor in would destroy your sound settings, and rebooting was the only solution to recover them.
And this was in 2011, man. Wi-fi wasn't even "gigantic fucking news" back then.
>I keep saying this but most people are in denial or just shills
Meh, it has certainly improved recently. Has it improved ENOUGH, though, to be even considered as a "possible gaming OS runner-up"? Nah. We're still fuckign far from it. For fuck's sake.
its not the best now, and it never will be
win7 is still superior for gaming
and before you shills chime-in with "muh dx12" name 1 good game that requires it for it to work
FreeBSD.
Literally most consoles run derivatives of it.
This
GPU drivers have all sorts of problems, soundcard drivers are shit, touchpad needs boot parameters to even work, can't set proper refresh rates for CRT monitors without fucking with xorg.conf, some distros default to nouveau even though it doesn't even boot on a lot of cards, etc...
Debian 9 works pretty well for me.
>win7 is still superior for gaming
no
Nioh just got ported to Windows... psNow is also on Windows...
Your resistance only makes Win10 tan's clit harder.
>implying that isn't a scrotum under that butthole.
When Windows 11 comes out
Yes, it's called Windows 7
...
and what makes it better?
Poor Vista.
God damn, heart pupils are so hot
This
I hope linux mint will have improved gaming experience untill 2020
the base system is mostly ok for gaming, good drivers
it's just all the other crap that gets in the way
>win7 is still superior for gaming
>No DX12
>No driver support anymore
>Broken kernel that cucks latency
>Didn't even do UEFI natively
kek
only if you play games up to 2010, all other shit is written in dx11 and it doesnt work at all in wine yet
none of this is a problem not even dx12 games because they dont exists
Since thread is related
I do want to dual boot into Windows just for games. Should I go for 10 or 7?
10 will break your linux boot after first update
goodbye forever Sup Forums. this is my final post before I put a hole in my brain.
