external hdd taped to the back of the laptop, is he our Sup Forumsuy?

Sounds retarded enough to fit.

idk could use tape on the other side of the drive.

What's this from btw?

that's fun prop design

the new spuderman movie

ah

Tape Drive

Velcro tape would be more practical, imo. stick the hook tape on the laptop and stick the fuzzy tape on the HDD

Velcro is not tactical tho.

Looks retarded.. but it works, so it's not.

A little while ago I saw a guy in Starbucks with three external hdds taped to the back of his laptop. Do other people actually do this? Or just Sup Forumstards...

Why not make a laptop back cover case that has external HDD/SSD mounts so you can hold them there for use and convenience on the go?

make the back cover all metal, and stick magnets to the drives,
hope your drive is well shielded or SSD ]:^)

velcro is tactical as fuck nasa uses it all the time as do all the armed forces.

some people use computers to actually create things, rather than as fashion accessories.

If they don't have a lot of money, doesn't make sense to pay the laptop-jew $2000 for more storage when three $80-100 external drives will give as much or more.
Alternatively, store stuff on raid in multiple drives so that a failure doesn't lose your data, unlike the one expensive internal drive.

How can you be tactical when you can't be sneaky? Have you tried using velcro without the neighbors hearing you use velcro? You mean practical not tactical, NASA cares about practical things not tactical things.

>some people use computers to actually create things, rather than as fashion accessories.

That group includes nobody here.

some people even use computers to create fashion accessories

imagine a storage setup of 4 by 2, 2,5 inch 9,5mm 2TB (cheapest $/GB) drives. On the back of your lid. Small chip that lets you raid them and is also the connector to your laptops usb3 port.
Or you use full height 2,5 inch drives of 5TB each. At 2.1W you wouldn't even need the biggest powersupply ever. although 8 times that is just short of 20W.

>tactical

velcro is widely used in the US military. of course it's a little noisey when detaching velcro, but it actually is very effective.

also, it's pretty much god tier material for shit like cable management

who are you, solid snake? literally no reason to be tactical anyways, my dude.
