please don't buy that

>please don't buy that
Why.

Buy without OS and install a Linux distro, pathetic faggot

why the fuck would you need a laptop that expensive

To shitpost on Sup Forums

buy it faglord

but don't get windows goddamn

I don't have a choice what OS it comes with

if you need validation from faggots here then you probably don't need it. however, if you actually need it then go ahead. also

Thinkpad = Lenovo
Lenovo = preinstalled spyware

If you're still interested then you're an idiot.

>2017
>Lenovo
>shiggy diggity dawg

what would you suggest then?

a librebooted thinkpad

>$1200
>Shitty dual core
>A fucking dual core
>$1200
K E K

I don't need or want 2 hours of battery on an i7

If you're spending that much money unironically get a mac.

The hardware is sublime and macOS is the only *nix with a decent UI.

better (proprietary) software support too

>no clit mouse
>hardware is sublime

wrong

Your other point is subjective but I'm going to subjectively call you a liar because osx is disgusting.

The retro is coming out soon, you can shake much more epeen with that then a carbon.

I reckon most people forgot that "It Just Works" was a mac thing

The trackpad and gestures are amazing. So good that some people use them instead of mice.

What don't you like about osx?

> hardware is sublime
> exactly like any other computer of that price

kys noob

the only thing I can tell you against, is to buy the yoga version
once you have a touch display, you understand how usefull it is in a laptop
basically touch browsing websites, swiping pages in documents
it is really neat

>Not buying laptop with quad-core 15W

KILL YOURSELF

>burn in

what?

Excuse me, what are you planning to do with TWO cores in 2017, except shitposting on Sup Forums? Because that’s what you’re only able to do. Oh also, enjoy your sluggish OS too I guess.

He said please

Basically this

>>I don't have a choice what OS it comes with
lol and they call this a thinkpad

have fun with your CHINKPAD FULL OF superfish spyware

A Thinkpad is only worth it if you buy used, you could buy something better, also don't buy the system with it, you can buy a win 10 enterprise key for 10 $ on ebay or install linux.

>not waiting for raven ridge

Do not support low quality TIM processors

I recently got a thinkpad from my employer and I'm not very happy..

You have almost no adapters, only USB. At my HP I had everything.
Also the keyboard felt strange, I don't like that [Ctrl] is not in the bottom left corner, but you have the [Fn] key. It just makes things clumsy.
Also I don't like that F1-F12 is overwritten adn you have to Press [Fn] to get the F-keys. I mean, how often do you make your sceen brighter or disable WLAN manually? Once per day? But all the shortcuts in programs with F-keys now require one more key, it started to feel like emacs already..

Sorry, but I would either buy a simple HP or if you have money to spend go with a Mac.

I guess I'll search for a Gen 3 Carbon then. At least I can put Win7 on it

Just get a Mac. Especially if you're planning to do any programming.

Um. The win10 key is a brandy on the mobo.

>Buying a NEW ThinkPad

what model?
can't you remap Fn with Ctrl?
can't you just Fn+Esc to change function mode?
