BUILD A PC

You have 20 points in hand. Build your PC wisely.

CPUs: Intel i3 (3), Intel i5 (5), Intel i7 (6), AMD 1600 (2), AMD 1800x (5), AMD Threadripper (7)

Memory: 8GB (3), 16GB (6), 32GB (8)

Display: 1080p (3), 1440p (5), 2160p (6), 4K (8)

Graphics Card: GTX 1070 (3), GTX 1080 (5), Vega 56 (2), Vega 64 (4)

You are allowed to propose new components, but OP will assign the points.

Go here newfag.

only dumb faggots go with AIO's or heck watercooling altogether for consumer shit

>2160p (6)
>4K (8)

AMD 1800x, 16GB, 1440p, Vega 64

OP is a faggot
Vega 64 + 1440p + 16GB + 1800x (it should be 1700, but whatever) + sage = natural 20

>Vega 64
Your fanboy level is showing

Assign your shit points better next time

You do realise 2160p is 4K, right?

i5, 16GB, 1440p, GTX1070 (I'd rather get a solid RX580 like Nitro+)

Exactly what I chose.

AMD 1800x (5)
Vega 56 (2)
16GB (6)
1080p (3)
1080p (3)

Only buying a Vega 56 because this is hypothetical. We'll see once November comes and they shit out these magical drivers

you're posting in a Sup Forums thread, what did you expect

1600
16gb
1440
vega 56
>2160p, 4k
moron. inb4 4096.

1800X:5
16GB:6
1440p:3
Vega 64:4

Total:20

There it is, the perfect balance.

>1600 below i3
>no options for actually decent display

1800x - 5
32gb - 15
1080p - 18
vega 56 - 20

Considering I can get a non gaming decent 4k for as much as a decent non gaming 1080p making it 8 points is retarded but whatever

I got a 8 core 32gb system and a gpu as capable as a 1080 if you aren't retarded.

1800x 16gb ram 1440p GTX 1080

Maximum gaym:
i7 16gb 1080p 1080

wth I did the same thing

that's 21

ITT people who can't count

5 - R1800x
8 - 32GB
6 - 2160p
1 - 1050ti kalmx

amd 1600, 8GB, 1440P, GTX 1070

save rest of the points on things that matter

Where are the Xeons and EPYC at m8?

maybe ultra widescreen?

2x1080
gtx1070

replace the 1070 with a fury, and thats my current setup

shit i meant vega 64

>i5 (6)
>16 GB (6)
>2160 (6)

i3 (+3)
8 GB (+3 =6)
2160 (+6 =12)
Sell 2160 to OP marketed as 4k (-8 = 4)
Vega 64 * 4 (+4*4= 20)
Mine ETH

vega 56 * 10
sell for 10 million
buy a 1600, 1080p 144hz and a 1080 with 8gb ram

i3s but no R3s?

4K LCD
8 or 16 GB RAM as points permit
AMD 1600
RX 550 or 560
Would ideally take APU if Zen ones were out.

i7
8GB
2160p
GTX 1080

Woooow

Hey Sup Forums, I just built a PC without any of your advices at all and idgaf. Rate me post-build.

Case: 570x
CPU: 1800x
GPU: Vega 56
RAM: 32 GB 2666
Mobo: Crosshair VI
Storage: 500 GB M.2 Samsung drive I forget model #
Storage: I have a 18 TB (usable, more if you include redundancy) FreeNAS

The Vega56 is for open source driver support which is looking very, very good on linux. If you' use Windows I understand that a lot of people don't like Vega, but it's looking great for Linux.

DESU I actually have a GTX980 in there right now because Vega open source drivers don't hit until linux kernel 4.15. I tried building an amd staging kernel but I couldn't get it to work yet, fuck it, I'll just wait for 4.15.

>Threadripper better than i7

AMD 1600
16GB
1080p
GTX 1080

Can I buy some beer with 4 points?

R7 1700 (4), 16GB (6), GTX 1080 (5), 1080p 144hz (5)

>Threadripper
>16 GB
>1080p
>Vega 64

I chose Threadripper over 1800x you will have a futureproof CPU. Vega64 because DX12 and Vulkan. Will get better with every driver release
You can upgrade your RAM and monitor very easily and 16 GB is enough for now.

should have waited for coffee lake, ryzens will probably drop 50 burgers

intel is for cucks

good goyim

Vega 64
1440p
16GB
Intel i5

well fugg
6 on le 2^4 GB of ram
3 on display, because anything above 1080p is laughably useless until more shit starts using higher res stuff
then 5 on the GTX 1080 and the rest on the i7 because i have no idea what I'm doing

i personally think a 7040*3960 screen would be Delightful

That's 18

>i5 8600k
5
>16GB
6
>1080p x2
6
>GTX 1070
3

1800x, 8GB, RX580 for like 3 points, 3x1080p display

Vega 64 is good if you can find it cheap. The problem is you cannot find it cheap.

I7, 16gb, 1440, 1070

>1600
>16gb
>2160p
>gtx 1080
19 points used.

Intel i3 (3) 16GB (6) GTX 1080 (5) 1440p (5)

Threadripper
32gb
1080p
vega56

1800X, 16GB RAM, 2x 1080p display, Vega 56

>AMD Threadripper
7 points total that is all you need with the newest AMD offerings.

>AMD 1600 (2)
>Intel i3 (3)
Is that just because there's a 3 in the name? i3 is close to half the cost of Ryzen 1600. In fact a mid-range 7000-series i5 is less money than Ryzen 1600.

>2160p different than 4K
Really?? Worst game ever.

Anyway, my build follows:
Core i5, 16GB, 2560x1600, GTX 1070. I will spend my remaining points on a nice k/b, mouse and desk. I'd probably even go GTX 1060 to spend more on a nice chair.

Easiest choise of my life
