Why Plan 9?
Solarized dark
Input narrow regular (the best font)
Sublime text 3 (registered)
better contrast during the day / night. Without the annoying syntax highlighting is just perfect to read LOTS AND LOTS code.
How did people code before there was colour?

what font scheme is that?

Jellybeans, terminus, vim
Not at my pc, but Iosevka Nerd Font with Atom and the dark atom theme is my go-to right now. Solarized is pretty, but the colors don't contrast enough to be practically as useful as the dark theme.
terminus is meant for 9pt isn't it
I used to use terminus until I got good enough with computers that I didn't feel the need to compensate with a "cool hacker font." But seriously, terminus is alright but it does NOT scale up well. Take a look at it in 72pt and you will see what I mean.
that's exactly what I'm trying to say - terminus looks great at 8-9pt, I forget which one specifically but it was made for one size and one size only.
not sure what you mean by "cool hacker font" though
>Jellybeans
my man
Apparently using bitmap fonts makes you a cool hacker.
Yeah, if I ever need to scale I switch to droid sans mono, but for 12pt on a 96dpi screen terminus is fucking glorious.
