When you're applying to a company and they say having a website is strongly recommended
>when you're applying to a company and they say having a website is strongly recommended
Im not an idiot, of course I have that
>almost 2018
>not having a website
I shoogy
Just link this thread to them.
oh hello wagie, I didn't see you there
>when you're applying to a company and they say knowing all possible sort algorithms, all the prime numbers and all multiples of 3 and 5 by heart is strongly MANDATORY
what the fuck would I even put on a website
>when you were born too late and now most technical undergrad applications highly recommend a website with your projects portfolio
your dick pictures
>when an interviewer still expects you to code with pen and paper in 2017
Suck my dick oldfag. REEEEEEEE
If you are a web dev, then you need to post work
If you can post old code, where the fuck have you been working that allows you to do that
If you can post open-source contributions, put the link to your activity page (HR likes colors/graphs)
If you are some shit tier that needs to post "something" to prove that you can install X, then don't because I am fucking sick of my search engine results being spammed with useless garbage
If you have something to say, then you should already have a website. Blogs are great, but anyone who does them for resume builders are shit people.
>when a candidate thinks I give a fuck about syntax and correct names of commands and doesn't understand that I want the 10% of the problem solved and not the 90% of the boilerplate initialization and for loops.
Get on board millennial
helo welcom to my websight
Why are HR so entitled?
>bitches and moans about pajeets
>can't even outperform one
>"In a way, you could say Sup Forums is my website"
I don't have a website.
What would Sup Forums's recommended way be to make one which looks good when lacking in HTML and CSS department?
>wtf this man is offering to sell his labour to the company when the company has advertised their need for it?????? The fucking NERVE of him. I'm going to rant on Sup Forums or hackerjews.
Learn HTML and CSS you idiot. It'll take like 2 hours going through tutorials to know almost everything you'd need to know
You call people idiots and expect them to learn HTML and CSS in 2 hyperbolical hours?
That doesn't seem like an appropriate thing to expect of an idiot. An idiot would be unable of such feat yet you recommend it?
You could try squarespace, or just buy some server time on AWS and CSS/HTML it yourself.
>2004+13 in the name of
>not having
BRUH IS U OK?
It's really that easy. I'm bring generous to your intellect here. Now stop shitposting and go learn some basic shit.
Consider not calling people idiots right off the bat so there's no reason to get defensive shitposting replies but I guess it's necessary to have an air of superiority on anonymous boards.
So....is squarespace a rip off? It's $144 a year
