This OS is getting worse with every update.

oy vey, buy these lootboxes goyim
*only affects games bought from Microsoft Store
Which is only like Forza and Gears of War
What the fuck can't they just say what it fucking is, it is an anti cheat system.
They are deliberately wording it and naming it to sound like some sort of passive assurance service that improves gameplay performance or some shit.
It fucking doesn't, it probably revokes your fucking license if the power goes out.
This is some dirty as fuck Jew shit that is targeted at stupid kids, I swear to god.
THE ABSOLUTE FUCKING STATE OF WINDOWS USERS.
Two things:
-most games do the same shit since forever
-fucking NOOBS and ERP degenrates can stay BTFO by microbenis for all I care. Git gud so you don't have to cheat and install moddable single player games if you want to fap you fucking trash.
>-most games do the same shit since forever
>game's real PID is never exposed to other processes
No game has this.
VAC banned?
This is the exact same thing. Have no issues with it, Steam has had this for ever.
Is cheating really a thing but? Surprising if they can manage to run modified games but still not pirate the games.
Yes they do, you dumb fuck. It's literally no different to VAC or EAC.
Is this a misquote? Are you ok?
No game is currently able to hide its PID from other processes in the system.
VAC has nothing to do with what I wrote in my post.
Exactly. Just turn it off and ignore it.
limited to UWP
so how its botnet? literally no one use windows store games lol
Yes a more successful version of what Steam already does, instead of being able to run the cheating software you won't even be able to modify them from the start or the go.
Who has an issue with this besides cheats? Cheating in PC games is fucking ruining them compared to consoles lately.
I imagine they intend to lure devs into using their bullshit because UNCRACKABLE LOL.
1. I never stated I was for or against this, only made it clear that you were incorrect in your post about games already doing the same thing.
2. I am against this, as it will fail at what it intends to do while it the same time bringing more inconvenience to legitimate customers.
it's going to be similar to what blizzard/valve/punkbuster/etc have been doing for years
which is all fine and dandy if you ignore the fact that they're putting out a carrot for gaymers with dx12 and window store exclusive games, they've been wanting to get people off of steam for years now
all the upcoming aoe releases (aoe1 through 3 proper remakes, aoe4) will be windows store exclusive, it's likely all microsoft exclusives will be windows store exclusive, it's likely a lot of games will be timed exclusive for windows store, etc
We'll it is... Microsoft being the software developer they are do we think this will get cracked anytime soon? Denuvo is dead what will developers turn to next once Windows 10 gets the remaining 7 market share?
...
It might stop modders
B O T N E T
holy shit, how can people be ok with w10? are they literal cucks?
We must resist!
>only for Windows Store
not worried
I'll be worried when a microshit account is required to use Windows 10
Are you a fucking child? It's called marketing
Whooptie fucking do, I'll emulate win10 with a crack or some shit.
kekekekekekke
>muh games
>Gaming is more fun when everyone plays fairly
Sounds like an anti-cheat system to me.
They also said Denuvo was uncrackable, and look where it is now.
inb5 some nprotect/gameguard like rootkit
>can't block telemetry with hosts
>can't disable error reporting even with group policy
Windows 10 is already a rootkit
>We're sorry, you can't open FORZA™ Motorsports with TruePlay disabled
Alternatively
>TruePlay has been disabled temporarily, don't worry, we'll turn it back on for you automatically.
>TruePlay has been disabled temporarily, don't worry, we'll turn it back on for you automatically.
The day that happens is the day I completely ditch PC gaming.
Is there anything that can stop an off-machine packet sniffer? It's not like VAC or this could be like "oh there's another computer on this network sniffing packets and telling you there's a dude behind that wall"
Clever encryption schemes could prevent it, but I think just needing a second machine is enough to stop casual cheaters.
Worth noting that I can still use cheat engine on the insider builds just fine. I'd wait to see if this actually blocks certain games.
>playing games
It's not enabled by default, strange
i downloaded demo for old forza and it was constantly crashing and dipping to 50fps on a fucking 7700k + 1080ti, and advice on forums was turning off antivirus and afterburner lmao
Windows has been ignoring Microsoft domains in hosts at least since XP, probably even before then.
The whole telemetry thing is just a happy side effect.
I didn't want to create a thread just for this so I'll post it here.
Can Microsoft really sue you for using Office Home in a business environment?
You know I usually wouldn't worry about this but given the entire Microsoft range of products is a botnet, it would be fairly easy for them to spot my location and when/where I'm using Office.
Maybe it will later if nobody uses it. If not this is positively surprising
