LMAO @ ur lyfe

This. 5610 G Shock is the patrician techno watch.

SKX>Submariner
FACT.

a158 master race

Speaking of all that stuff, I just purchased a GW-5510. JDM exclusive too. Looks much better than the GWM-5610 in my opinion. Impatiently awaiting for it to arrive.

AE1200 > a158

We need a guide like this but for $1-5k

Damn that looks good. Guess I know what I'm ordering when I get paid next week.

A500>AE1200

I like the more square shape over all when compared to the GWM-5610. Price was a little steep at $165 shipped off of Amazon especially when the GWM-5610 is only $100 and its the same module inside AFAIK. Basically paid 65 extra bux to be a snowflake with a JDM watch folded 1000 times.

DBC611G-1DF > all

Whats a good reliable homage to the royal oak?

It's the same module, I have the blacked out 5610 and I was looking to change it up a bit becuase it's my work beater. This looks like it should be fun and more unique than the gaudy mall bought G-Shocks.

Found this for 150 bucks or some old invicta but the problem is I want a model with bracelet pls halp. Oh I do own a sarb035 so no hate pls

...

>purchasing homages

Chain broke after only a couple months. pretty disapointed

Who listens to that twat.

>Whats a good reliable homage to the royal oak?
Commit suicide you tasteless piece of shit.

nice taste

A turd sandwich

They make a blacked out version but I personally have trouble reading a negative display in certain situations, they look awesome though.

Ohh please, I just want that big watch but quality. Already own a sarb for formal wear.

>I just want that big watch
Like I said, kill yourself you tasteless fuck.

Yeah I saw that when I searched eBay, I'll probably get the regular one becuase my curent 5610 is blacked out.

SBPG001 > A500

Just noticed that the positive display isn't on prime but the negative display version is. fucking why ;_; Hopefully these 10 days go by fast.

>implying Seiko > Casio with shitty 80s tier watches

shig

Waiting for shipping from Asia is always a chore.

There aren't any.

>Calls him tasteless while posting the definition of a tasteless bogan
The dude want to sell his Patek and take out a loan for the luxury car equivalent of a Seiko shitter for fuck's sake.

It will be worth it when my JDM G-Shock shows up. too bad plebs don't care and will think it's some Kmart watch.

There's nothing to imply. The only stainless steel cased, stainless steel bracelet with solid links and solid end links LCD quartz with radio atomic sync, solar charging, and electroluminescent backlight ever made is definitionally the GOAT LCD quartz.

>Defending someone asking for a homage of a watch you should be ashamed to want the original of
What's next for your legacy of terrible opinions? Defending Paneristi?

You're not wrong but
>muh Casio

>Waiting for shipping from Asia is always a chore.
Not if it's EMS from Japan. That service is absurdly fast.

>J-Post
>Dispatched to receiving nation for 2 weeks

Alright /wt/ help me make a purchase. In your opinion, which one can be worn easiest for weekends and casual events and such.

I was thinking Alpinist for durability (Whole field watch thing) but I have an office job coming up in 5 months and I don't think it would fit the bill with business casual all the time.

I guess I chose a bad pic but the SARX045 is a deep blue, not black.

Considering the price point, I will forgo the stainless steel and opt for the GWM-5600 (left) same features at a much better price point. Lets be real, its a fucking digital quartz. Although even after typing this out, both are too aesthetically different to compare fairly.

Seiko's are all ugly.

>you should be ashamed of wanting a RO
KYS, the regular non niggered up RO's are great.

I'm more of a Nautilus person, but the Royal Oak is alright.

37mm Royal Oak is literally the watch I'm working to get.

oops, seem you thought this was and posted a jewelry thread

if only you had posted about smart watches...

There is more technological significance in an automatic watch than a smart watch.

I can't believe you got me to give a (You) but here it is.

come join my thread about how my lock works on my front door, that's technology

oh wait...it's not

>smart watches

Yes, the RO he posted was SO tasteful!

>the application of scientific knowledge for practical purposes, especially in industry.

Locks seem like technology to me. They've come a far way since the start.

Of those I'd say get the SARB017 and save up for a SARX033/035 down the line. If you insist on a $500 model I'm that picture I'd go for the SARX045.

My wife hates me. What watch will help the pain subside?

Get a hooker instead

>oh wait...it's not
But it is. Just because something isn't electrical doesn't mean it isn't technology. Poor b8 m8.
Which ever one ensures that she gets none of your money in the impending divorce.

>impending divorce

>tfw

They scare me

Well...Considering your absolute lack of masculinity, and fear of women who accept money for fuzzies, then a mother-of-pearl DateJust should suit you just fine.

Has anyone heard about Prim watches or other Czech watch brands? I want one because muh heritage but I don't know a damn thing.

What are some neat watches with the miyota 9015?

The 9015 tends to get used by microbrands. Just look around m8.

Hnnnnnggg...
That fucking case.
Why can't more manufacturers give me straight, clean, lugs like that.
Though making the chamfer start 0.5mm sooner wouldn't hurt the aesthetic and would actually significantly reduce the size on the wrist.

Also, those fucking screws on the dial, why?

>pure quartz is accurate enough in practice for years
>light is good enough, EL model also exists
>battery already lasts ten fucking years
>thinner and cheaper than your "improved" models

The screws are just aesthetic, it's been on all of autodromo's watches afaik.

While I can appreciate that much about them I hope they didn't go full TAG HUEHUEHUEHUEHUE and just glue the cunting things on

>why?

$900 though.

It's meant to draw inspiration from the dials found on Group B rally cars of the era.

Point made.

incredibly beautiful and I want one but fucking 900 bux? jesus christ

>$900 though
Yes, the case & dial finishing make it worth it imo.

I hate to be this guy arguing subjective matters but no it doesn't.

Yeah I love the design to death but it really should be in the range of $650 to $700. Like you can get a Junghans Max Bill for about $750-$800.

>Yes, the case & dial finishing make it worth it imo.
I mean the dial is pretty much the only reason you'd buy one, and I guess they can charge what they can simply because no one else makes a watch like it.

Are these watches any good?

Thanks that seems like a good idea. Do you think you could pull the Alpinist off in business casual?

Yes, obviously some people here find it overprice for what it is though.

>implying 650-700 bux is reasonable for any watch.

I love watches and I completely cream over top dollar ones but too jewish to spend that kind of money ever.

...

...

...

I mean yeah because it's really just a Miyota at its core, but the price could be considered a bit steep depending on how much of the "design and finishing" ethos that you buy into.

Their weakest model desu.

These are what I have

The oysterquartz is probably the only rolex I plan on buying eventually, if only because of that case & bracelet design.

Halios Seaforth. It actually has finishing nice enough to justify its price.

What compels a man to make fakes of a Seiko Turtle?

It does not justify the price lad sorry.

The finishing on the group b is much better than the seaforth. t. someone that owns both.

Given what people wear today? Anything smaller than a dinner plate will be more tasteful than 99% of the absolute shitters people wear.

If you like lugs like that take a look at the Aevig Valkyr

Macro pictures of both for proof. The Group B doesn't look that great in pictures.

I just have a shit phone camera, and it's night out user. You're not going to get good macro pics.

We never ended up putting one together because if you're going to drop thousands of dollars on a watch then (unless money means absolutely nothing to you) it's probably already a topic you are interested and at least a little knowledgeable about and you should be able to form your own damn opinions instead of buying what anonymous cartoon enthusiasts tell you to buy.

Are the SARX043 and 045 new? Did they replace the 013 and 015? I like a few of the changes but not some of the others, the dial stripes seem a lot less dramatic than on my SARX015.

>I just have a shit phone camera
We've been over this last thread

I'm not sure how new they are. I am just looking on Seiya and thats what they have. I love that dial though.

Yes, some people spend a lot in one hobby and don't care to spend the money for a non-shit camera. Amazing, I know.

The watch is a bit too big and the hands aren't my favorite, but yeah that dial is beautiful. I like all the sharp edges too.

I like my cameras like I like my watches:
Quartz, Japanese, and with an inferiority complex towards European competitors

You obviously were not in the thread. The conversation was about how even a phone camera can take a good picture if you set it up properly.
