Is it Kaby lake?
How is it

13 Skylake (i7 QHD model)
Great except for battery which is just ok, don't do any gaming or graphics heavy stuff on it tho so can't tell you how that is

a cr*ppy one

memepad x220.
before that I was using an asus eeepc 1015 for about 5 years.

I don't game just got a fully loaded kaby lake just was wondering what I'm in for

Acer Aspire V2 773G
- Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
- Intel Core i7 4702MQ
- 32,0GB DDR3
- 4095MB NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M
- 1920x1080 IPS screen

Hi Tyler!

thinkpad x200 tablet (for most work on the go + docked at home as a torrent box)

alienware m11x r3 (smallest laptop at the time with an nvidia gpu for cuda on the go)

gpd pocket (mostly replaced the x200t till I bricked it)

Acer CB3-111 4GB running Windows

Thin, light, long battery life and cheap to replace

>tyler
>pink socks

hmm..

What's the problem? :3

yours

You're a big gay

T520
- Ubuntu 16.04
- i7-2670QM
- 16 GB RAM
- 512 GB SSD
- 1 TB HDD
- 1600x900 (The only bad thing)

Buizel use aqua jet!

Not if I do it first~

Xiaomi Air 13 (2017).
It's pretty good.

Surface Pro 3, i5, 8GB Ram, 256GB storage

Any recommendations for a cheap-ish laptop. For browsing, video playback and report writing.

Only requirements are good screen, lightweight and good battery life.

Elitebook 8470p

XPS13
Spacebar became too mushy
Screen started bleeding
Screen flickers on windows
Everything else is good though

All these poorfags with just once laptop.

I use a stock Razer Blade 14 (2017):
i7-7700hq
16GB ddr4 2400MHz
GTX 1060
512GB Samsung NVME SSD
9000$ in cash

And an upgraded Acer aspire V nitro 15:
i7-4720hq
16GB ddr3 1600MHz
GTX 960m
256GB Samsung 850 Evo
Upgraded wifi card to intel 8260 card
I upgraded the RAM
I upgraded the SSD
At this point I can sell it for a profit because I bought it dirt cheap

Also tested the surface pro 2017 i5 8GB RAM but it just wasn't a good fit for me so I gave it to my dad, I wish I had alcantara on my Blade though

X220 with macOS High Sierra

Asus Zenbook 430UQ

i was gonna say cute socks and cute buizel plush but after this i'm not sure whether i hate it or want it to happen to me too

Dell Latitude E6420

Rock solid, stable, never had a single issue with it.

i7-2640m (would like to bump it to a quad but the bare CPUs even used are crazy expensive)
8GB of DDR3 RAM (hoping to slap 16GB in it someday)
128GB Samsung 830 OEM SSD (works fine for now)
1TB Hitachi hard drive on the docking station eSATA port
Docking station (Duh)
Nvidia Quadro 4200m (not the greatest but better than stock Intel onboard and some gaming potential but I don't play games)

Someday I'll get something better, hoping to get a proper Precision mobile workstation with some decent specs and maxed out RAM for 3D work with Maya and using Redshift for GPU rendering.

Someone get me this machine and I'll be a friend forever.

the power supply died a few months ago and i don't feel like getting a new one when i have 10+ other computers right next to me so ...

x220
almost all i do is use it to type documents and its great for that

Windows/macOS/Xubuntu

Dell Precision M4700
i7, 16GB RAM,2GB Quadro, chink SSD

x230 (i7, IPS, classic keyboard and coreboot), HP elitebook 8570w (qm i7) and x201 (i5)

Acer Aspire 7
Ubuntu 16.04 LTS
i7-7300HQ
GTX1050ti
256gb NVMe
8GB DDR4 RAM

it's pretty good for programming and light gaymen when visiting home etc

Eee pc 900
Still good enough

T430 with a quad core
I'm thinking about buying a dgpu motherboard just to fuck around with
Breddy good

That's not a problem you straightfag

>FWHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

Lenovo Ideapad Y700-15
Werks pretty well, one downside being the UEFI firmware needs an update, it sometimes crashes if you don't do that
Oh, and after using ir for half a year I think keyboard backlight is pretty fucking good to have

Asus x555ub. Bad decisions were made.

An x61 that has had the lower half swapped with a x60s.

Before that a x61 that had a motherboard swapped with a x60.

Both are librebooted :D

Low voltage coreduo is nice, at least for battery life.

Gaming on Ubuntu?

I'm gonna need a profile somewhere before you're banned, I'm curious to follow your antics

A 15" 1.67GHz PowerBook G4

ITTfami?

No

T520

With 3217U. Bought it because it was best 11" at the price i was able to spend. Added 4gb of ram, replaced hdd with 128gb ssd and had to replace battery, because old died pretty fast for some reason. It's been 4.5 years and, besides batter, it works really good for my needs.

Acer VN7-572G-51X4

Lenovo E570 15.6" Laptop: i7-7500U. 16GB DDR4, 256GB PCIe SSD, GTX 950M, Win 10 $509.40

No, ITTFami uses a 1.42GHz 14" iBook G4.
t. ITTFami posting from his iBook.

Clevo D900F

Core i7-980X 6C/12T 3.33GHz
Nvidia GTX 480M
6GB DDR3
500GB SATA II SSD
17'' Glossy @ 1920x1200

Heavy, hot, uses probably north of 300W when gaming but I got it for free so kinda hard to hate it.

The GPU is a little ancient now. Came out in 2010 and sits around a Radeon HD 6790 or GTX 550Ti performance so not great especially at 1200p.

CPU still holds up though, at least in multi-threaded programs. Single thread performance is around an FM2 Athlon 750K or an Ivy Bridge Pentium but multi-threaded (Passmark benchmark) puts it around stock-clocked Kaby Lake i5.

Caves of Qud.

Nive, I've been meaning to put an SSD in my PowerBook. I might swap the optical drive for a second 2.5" bay but it's such a bitch to do. Definitely going to do the SXGA+ IPS display mod, that'll probably come before the SSD.

Do the SSD upgrade first. Seriously, it is really noticeable even with the IDE bottleneck. Also, that m.2>mSATA>IDE contraption has been working flawlessly for me. Might not work as good if you're running OS X, though. No TRIM support on Leopard.

Samsung X430, six or seven years old now
The "B" key stopped working and I had to remap it
The 3.5mm jack is loose and doesn't work properly
One of the speakers died
It has no USB 3.0 ports
Other than that, it has served me well, and I don't have any real reasons to upgrade. I'm still on the lookout for a good T420 deal though.

I figured the SSD upgrade would be pretty noticeable but my display's starting to go anyway

Forgot pic

Asus Zenbook UX310UQK

dual boot but i only fire up windows like once a month so i didn't think it was necessary to mention

Thinkpad 13

Asus G550JK. Got it kinda accidentaly. I like the screen.

Have MBA 11" 2011 (still is nice for work and of you carry it around) and ThinkPad x220 for home use

hello luke
