Already patched.

>Patched in Windows, Apple and most Loonix already
>only an issue in shitty unupdated lagdroids
wow its nothing

Its not that the patches don't exist, it's that we know how slow people are to update shit.
Be honest, how many of you are still on Android 6?

It's not patched on Apple devices.

I'm on Android 4.

And every "IoT" device that runs wifi, like printers, security cameras, TVs, etc.

Are they really forcing nonces? Seems a bit extreme.

Exactly my point.

Latest patch I've gotten was for Android 5, in the beginning of 2016. I just wish flashing custom firmware wasn't such a bitch with getting adb up and running.

On arch, the patch was literally within a few hours.

Thanks!

does that work?

I actually rolled back to 6 from 7. Because I own fucking huawei with broken 7 distros. Not only did they fuck up the GE in their new EMUI iteration, but it also has performance and battery issues. Do I care if you hack into my wi-fi network? Well I guess not.

Wait, these patches are installed on the system? I thought the only way to fix it was updating routers firmware.

>Do I care if you hack into my wi-fi network? Well I guess not.
this is why you're retarded

Oh my someone may find out i'm browsing Sup Forums
I never considered networks being secure anyway. Everything that needs to be secure has it's own security layer.

They could just inject malware into Sup Forums at that point though.

It's an issue that persists with both host and client devices.

I know that feeling man.
I own a Huawei p10 and there's literally no working custom ROMs and emui is terrible.

I installed all the latest updates for windows after this happened, even the optional updates. None of them specifically mention this being patched, but their still the latest updates, so I guess I'm now protected regardless as the patch must have been part of a recent update.

>it's own security layer
>it's
Too bad you can't even write proper fucking English.

Microsoft patched this before it was even known to the public

good thing that i didnt fall for the wireless meme.

still unpatched on many chink routers and will be for years until they break and people buy new.

>krackattacks.com/
>Our main attack is against the 4-way handshake, and does not exploit access points, but instead targets clients. So it might be that your router does not require security updates.
You might be fine anyway.

Officially only Lollipop supported by still flashed Oreo this weekend thanks to the existence of custom ROMs :^)

On 2.3.6

It's been known for months. Only the details of the attack were embargoed until the other day.

>nonce reuse

They stopped compiling android for me so I stopped giving a fuck.
Who was the retard who thought it was a good idea to put the OS on a ROM?
Is he dead yet?

this only matters if an attacker somehow got inside your WPA2-AES

On OpenBSD, the patch was months ago!

Theo the chad told those fags to fuck off and released his patch before the embargo

the jews didnt like that so that might not happen with new vulns

Android is such a pain in the ass to update, so I'm still on 6.

Get a FOSS ROM. I'm on Lineage OS and it's patched already.

The Apple Macbook Pro with Retina Display doesn't have this problem.

...any more

Bsd is full of old crufty code from the 1980s. It only appears secure because no one uses it enough to actually bother looking for vulnerabilities in it.

Either way that works.

good thing i dont use wifi, faggot

What's your problem Raaj?

i'm just waiting for some easy scrypt to show up so i can culturally enrich my neighbor wifi

Conspiracy by the nsa to force people into abandoning legacy phones without parallel processor backdoors. This "bug" was too stupid to be an accident.

let this be a reminder for the next time you buy a phone to check if it has good lineageos support

Not patched on Windows 8. I bet 7 is still unpatched as well.

...

What's so terrible with emui? Genuinely curious.

>Google Mobile
>"We're aware of the issue, and we will be patching any affected devices in the coming weeks."

>any affected devices
This can't possibly mean all android phones, so what did they mean by this?

What about the things that can't be patched?

For example my Verizon fios router does have an ability to update the firmware, but they never have and never will issue updates.

It's already patched on iOS beta and patched on all other Apple devices.
Pretty shitty Apple can't issue separate security updates for iOS though.

Disable WiFi, use something you can control.
This was the solution 10 years ago.

Just patch any client devices you use and hack some retard that steals your wifi.

they always say that and then blame manufacturers and carriers when the update never actually reaches users

>Last firmware for my phone was Android 6
>Still on 5 because too lazy to update due to root

For fucks sake.

Laggy, a lot of bloatware, ugly (in my personal taste), wastes battery like nothing else.
It's usable, but far from good.

where is the download at?

this is why arm is a shitty platform. all devices have custom proprietary bootloaders and drivers that no one wants to update so they would work with new versions of the os.
