I have a pretty pricey PC that has a locked mobo and CPU, because I am still learning about overclocking. I was wondering if someone could come up with a very cheap unlocked build to practice on. I have a spare monitor ready to use also.
I've also asked /pcbg/, but I thought I'd ask here just for some extra information. Also on what software is good for stress tests and benchmarks etc.
Just get the cheapest ryzen as they are all unlocked - the more expensive ones (X) can just be pushed farther. The new i3s also have K models now.

I have an AMD 390 with 2 x dvi ports, 1 hdmi and 1 display port. Currently have an Oculus Rift connected to the HDMI and 1 monitor on 1 of the DVI ports, can I add a second monitor to the other DVI port without causing problems with the Rift?

I'm looking to buy a new monitor for around $300. For this price it looks like I can either get 1440p or a 144hz refresh rate. Which one is more worth it? I don't really do a lot of hardcore gaming, just some cadual stuff and some LoL so I don't really know how much I'd benefit from 144hz but I want your opinions.

I'm really looking now how to check if my ram is really broken. Cause it stopped working after 2 years so i got a new one. But the same thing happened to my gpu but somehow I resurrected that from the dead with the oven(I think).

Wasteful, you can get a CRT monitor for free nowadays and if you must have a flat one there are ones for under a hundred pounds you twat.
My honest opinion is that you shouldn't throw your money around like that if your casual and play mostly lol. save it for something else. The screens will only get cheaper. Infact rather wait for your current screen to fail before upgrading
