Are Americans the only people who call their parents and grandparents by their first names?

Are Americans the only people who call their parents and grandparents by their first names?

Isn't that only for the parents and grandparents they didn't respect?

migue

...

Have never done that myself, nor do I know anyone who does

Literally never done that.

This. You only do this as an intentional form of disrespect to the person.

I only ever call my father by his first name if he's done something utterly stupid and/or childish, and I have to scold him.

t. North American in hiding from trump

Same here.
I always called them grandma or grandpa followed by their surnames.
I think only horribly raised fuckheads call their parents or grandparents by their first names. Like people raised by extremist lesbian hippies.

I've never done either and only d-bags call their parents by their first name.

OP is a disrespectful shit.

It's extremely rare to the point of being irrelevant in the United States for a child to call their parent by their first name.

>followed by their surnames

>t. North American in hiding from trump
How many muzzies have you pleasured so far, Skylar?

My mom I call mom, my dad is dad, my grandma (RIP) was grandma, my grandpa is grandpa, my aunt is tia

dross

>not calling your patents by their social security number
l2respect

We call literally everyone by their first names, usually even presidents

...

I know 1 person who did/does this, a friend of mine from primary and high school. It used to weird me out. I'd say something like 1% of people do this.

>nobody does this
>who the fuck does this

wena Rual

I call my parents by their first names and literally everyone I know says that it's weird.

I don't know you and I agree it is weird.

That's really nice, I thought they didn't talk to their grandparents at all...

YOU HAVE TO GO BACK

Who are you talking about?

Nah, we've been in Texas/Arizona since before it was annexed :^)

Because it is? It's disrespectful, your parents are not normal people, they are your parents, meaning you are expected to talk to them like they are your parents.

Are you me?

Joke's on them. I don't even call my parents.

I call my parents by their first names, 3/4 grandparents too. It's their name; what else should I call them? Using mum/dad etc is vague and makes you sound like a 10 year old.

>Not being Southern
Grandmother is Meemaw, and Grandpa is Peepaw you fucking heretic

>Using mum/dad etc is vague
literally what

This. Literally who the fuck else are you calling mom and dad.

he doesnt know whether to call his mums boyfriend or his real dad 'dad'.

MY NEW PEP PEP

I'm southern but for me It's nanny and papaw
