Should I buy an s3 tablet or an s2?

Should I buy an s3 tablet or an s2?

No.

Admit it, you'd buy it if you could afford it.

not worth it i bought a MI PAD 3 some weeks ago
its considerably faster in any way possible BUT it doesnt have a cellular connectivity

>buy android tablet

>Tablets in 2012+5

Nope. The iPad is literally the only good tablet. Not even kidding.

That's a huge shame. The tendency to offer cellular, and therefore be usable more or less anywhere, is one of the best things about tablets.

As a person who has owned four Android tablets and two iPads in the past, pretty much this.

Tablets can be good. The iPad Pro is legit as fuck. It's just the only good one.

I'm quite happy with my Tab S3., but it has literally no custom rom support.

>muh lack of tablet-optimized android apps
I hate this meme. Interface doesn't matter as long as you use fullscreen media.

Kys

surface pro i7 is better than ipad pro

S3, easy. It's so much better

Give it a few months? I have the older note 2014 and Oreo development for it is underway

> surface pro i7
Wonder which will play my Hi10p animes longer.

>Surface Pro i7
>tablet

Its also usable as a tablet init.
Literally the best tablet I ever had.

You might be right. I dunno though, it seems like people over on xda are generally not happy with the S3, and LineageOS hasn't posted any news about it whatsoever. All I really want for it is a clean AOSP ROM without Touchjizz.

And it's even more than a tablet desu.

The librem laptop/tablet hybrid looks neat

It does matter. It looks like shit, and doesn't take advantage of its extra real estate. You're assuming tablets are solely for media consumption, when they're not. Even if they were, some forms of media consumption (comics, for instance) are more interactive than others, and a bad interface can matter.

Cool rebuttal, bro.

Not really. The Surface Pro has reliability issues, and runs a KB+M-first OS, which means there are going to be a lot of applications that expect you to have a keyboard and mouse. Because of this, a Surface Pro user is likely to keep their Type Cover attached nearly 100% of the time. Because of this, I hesitate to consider the Surface Pro a "tablet". The Surface Book even less so, since its battery life is god-awful without the bottom half attached.

I use it mainly as a tablet, and everything works great.

Surely nougat touchwiz isn't that bad? Is it rootable?
I've been using lineage for a while on the old tablet for a while, but a few months ago someone ported 6.0 touchwiz marshmallow to the note 2014 and I'm actually impressed with it - no lag and everything just werks when I tried it. AOSP roms are lacking in the s pen part though, so I almost felt like using that marshmallow port instead.
But xposed is on nougat already and so is Oreo. Still, if my experience with marshmallow is good I'd imagine nougat touchwiz would be good enough.

>Surely nougat touchwiz isn't that bad?
Not him, but yes it is.

>touchwizz

well meme'd!
