So how do I even pirate games nowadays?
A lot of sites have games that work but are split into multiple parts, and can take a day/days to download due to the host's restriction. Megadownloader doesn't work anymore.
Some torrents work but are very finicky.
Anything that i'm missing or may not know about? I just got a PC and I wanted to play a lot of my PS3/PS4 games on it without re-buying them.
Caught a forum ban on a certain popular movie tracker due to arguing a bit too strongly for some opinions that a staff member apparently did not share in one of their political debate threads. Should I worry about other ramifications on my account, or will it most likely stay within the forums? Not really so sure I want to be using their forums anymore anyway after an experience like this so don't really give much of a shit if the forum ban stays, but it'd be uncool if I lost access to the rest of the site over something like this.

As a neon seeking ptp, I'm well aware I'm in this for the long run. I need no sympathy or 'refugee' invites. I'm getting a steady stream of upload on RED, it's not much (50 MB a day average), but I'll get there in the long run.

Most don't care, specialist sites like DB9 definitely do. Cabal sites are somewhere in between : BIB etc ignore people who spam nothing but junk just to transcend classes (look at all the /ptg/ who complain about ian not replying), but some mixed in with proper uploads won't effect you negatively.

On RED it means downloading some .Flacs and converting them to MP3 and uploading
On GGn it just means being active on the site, you could just download 1k atari 2600 .torrents that will only be 30 or 40MB in the end and you'll be PU
The difficulty is directly related to how much effort you put into it. I met the reqs in two weeks back in February by literally spending 6 hours a day scouring the net for FLAC albums to upload that weren't on the site, and a lot of them have since been trumped because they didn't have logs and PTH disastrously changed their trump rules/log rules. Today, I'd say you'll have an even harder time because of how much shit has since been dumped onto the site and how many once unknown resources have become basic knowledge, but it's still doable. Also, I spent $30 on filling requests after I'd made PU to help me make Elite but the buffer I gained from a seedbox for the same price was triple that, so I would say if you're gonna

a seedbox is the cheapest option, but if you need uploads, you may as well shell out for albums.
You could also play the long game but the time you'd spend building buffer on RED to make PU is time you could be spending building buffer on other trackers to be set for life, like PTP. I'll literally never have to seed for buffer again because I prioritized speed over frugality.

Anything to keep in mind when applying for GGn? Saw that I missed applications by two weeks, now following their Twitter to see when they open again. Don't know what the application process looks like, and want to get some info ahead of time.
I've got a few minor private trackers with good ratios and plenty of uploads on two of them. Probably won't be able to upload to GGn, since I don't have a source or OC for games, but can seed, obviously.
