GPUs

What went wrong?

That GPU's chassis is actually pretty nice

Yeah, it looks very cool.

It was made by AMD. There are two things AMD does very well: hype, and not living up to hype.

Amd

But I love my Ryzen CPU!

>brushed metal

>4k isn't even close to standard and we are already just starting at 8k
nice

And there's nothing wrong with that. But it was supposed to be the CPU that would destroy LGA 2011 processors for LGA 1151 money. Instead, it wound up being competitive with LGA 1151 processors for LGA 1151 money. That' friendo, is the hype train going off the tracks.

Have you not seen threadripper?

I remember the 1st bench, all amdromes were mad

>the card match with the 1080 case it a pro card

Yeahhh...

The one that's only competitive when it's got a 6-core advantage? What of it?

Intel is only competitive when they have a >1Ghz advantage

Intel's architecture is able to reach that >1GHz advantage, even when matching (or exceeding) the core count of pooripper.

i would actually gotten vega over 1080ti, lucky for me vega is always out of stock

DC took too long to get merged into the kernel.

It's a blue rectangle

Fuck you got against blue rectangles?

You do know it has nothing to do with the architecture?

Ryzen is process bound not voltage bound, there's nothing in the design that would stop high frequency operation. GloFlo 14nm is targeted towards 3ghz clocks. GloFlo 7nm is targeted towards 5ghz clocks.

That's why I'm still on my 920

AMD make such ugly GPUs.

When the 1800X came out it perfectly matched the 6900K for half the price, and the 1700 was cheaper than the 7700K at launch. gtfo.

There's nothing wrong with it, it has pretty solid compute performance for the money.

Vega FE is literally the sexiest rectangle ever.

>But it was supposed to be the CPU that would destroy LGA 2011 processors for LGA 1151 money.
And it did that.
