i stumbled upon an archived copy at one point and it seemed like someone who was just really fucking mad. the only other ones i saw were related to or entirely by people he rightly called out on their bullshit. (see, he hasn't done much, so it's even easier for him to wank about on his pedestal. not that it's hard to find two bit hacks in the security game.)

i listened to the episodes where he explains basic networking concepts. it was pretty good and he explains pretty well. i went on to listen to him explain cryptography basics too.
when he's talking about current events he's usually just reading a press release.
he doesn't know what he's talking about all of the time but he does go into the weeds and try to explain it simply but sometimes he's in over his head and you can tell. if you're listening to gibson what he gets wrong won't matter to you anyway.
