lol
just use honeyview when you have to that garbage. irfanview is for autists from /f/.
wow.
honeyview sucks.
fuck off idiot.
It's faster and better and irfanview, autist.
lol retard
someone get this pleb outta here
>honeyview
>30MB
>irfanview
>3MB
And this is considering irfanview has WAY more fucking features. That's SAD.
The only fucking reason anyone should ever be touching honeyview is for using it as a comic book reader, which is what it was designed for.
You fucking drooling tard.
Honeyview caches the rest of the images in that folder retard
you're a mong of the highest caliber, you can set how much data you want Honeyview to cache and it's set to 30mb by default
yeah you're a retard dude
not even that guy but fuck off with your honeydick
it's literal shit
That's an empty Honeyview. There was no images to cache idiot. And why the fuck would I want ALL my damn images cached if I'm only going to selecting 1 or 2 out of 10k? That's DUMB! DUMB!
>There was no images to cache idiot
it caches the whatever is on the same directory you mong
>And why the fuck would I want ALL my damn images cached if I'm only going to selecting 1 or 2 out of 10k?
cause most people actually view a lot of pics at once or read comics you double mong and you can disable caching anyways you triple mong
probably not updated anymore but it just works so i dont care
i think that all linux image viewers that support browsing images do that. would be better if they loaded the other images only when the user wants to see it.
Hey buddy, 1990 called. They want their 10MB total RAM back.
I ran it from the programs folder, so it had NO IMAGES TO CACHE.
>cause most people actually view a lot of pics at once
Well I'm not most people, and I sure as hell don't want it trying to put partial bits of my folder in memory.
>you can disable caching anyways
It's still 30MB with caching disabled because like I said, I wasn't caching images when I ran it.
Honeyview should ONLY be used for Cb7/Cbz, and if you use it for anything else you're a retard. You probably can't comprehend what I'm saying because you're a fucking retard, retard.
switching images takes almost no perceptible time even in irfanview unless your computer is a literal toaster or you're looking at images with resolutions way bigger than your display size
yes but i have not found any linux image viewer that lets you disable image preloading without disabling browsing features too so it loads all images in the current folder before the selected image becomes visible.
I thought i was the only person that uses irfanview
>I ran it from the programs folder, so it had NO IMAGES TO CACHE.
it allocates it anyways dumbo, like all programs that cache
>It's still 30MB with caching disabled because like I said, I wasn't caching images when I ran it.
it's not disabled you mong, it still allocates the space like all programs unless you actually disable the setting
>uses inrfanview garbage and calls others retards
just kill yourself already
Samefagging faster than the speed off light!
All that trouble to shill a shit viewer.
...
>no argument
>I know, I'll just call them samefag shills!
...
Used that, but the cropping sucked. Switched to Viewnior, but that couldn't resize images, so I settled with Nomacs.
Also laughing at the idiots in this thread arguing which proprietary software is better. What a bunch of retards.
Irfan is so much more than just image viewer.
>it allocates it anyways
allocates what? There's nothing to there!
>it's not disabled
>and you can disable caching anyways you triple mong
>literally clicked the button to not cache next image
>not disabled
???
I mean what if I want TWO images open at once? Honeyview is going to create TWO 20MB+ processes. WHAT THE FUCK?
ARE YOU KIDDING
Yeah it's a swf viewer for the ancientfags that still use /f/.
FUCK OFF FAGGOT I GOT CAUGHT

Are there still people who use virtualdub or irfanview?
>Irfan is so much more than just image viewer.
My image viewer
Is so oh oh oh
Much more than either or or or
It's more like a mini PS tool.
You can apply some PS filters, crop, add quick text, do scanning, etc.
It also has command line functions for batch operations. It does this all while having a small footprint.
It's just better than HV. Plain and simple.
Honeyview is best hentai browser.
Enjoy your kebab shit.
You're not really helping your argument here, m8
I've been enjoying my kebab shit since 1997 so that doesn't mean much.
Me and Irfan go back probably before you were born kiddo.
are you ok?
anything is better than the default viewer in windows. it cant even show gifs properly.
>retard gets a stroke trying to defend his shit viewer
>mini-PS tool
I'd understand the usefulness of this on GNU/Linux, but if I'm already on Windows I'm just going to use Photoshop.
>Command line functions
Why wouldn't I just use the command line?
>Better than honeyview
At being able to do pointless shit, sure. Honeyview is better for viewing images.
Also kill yourself if you use HV for manga or comics instead of CDisplayEX on windows.
i use it all the time. i also use virtualdub now and then
...
What the fuck did you just fucking say about me, you little bitch? I’ll have you know I graduated top of my class in the Navy Seals, and I’ve been involved in numerous secret raids on Al-Quaeda, and I have over 300 confirmed kills. I am trained in gorilla warfare and I’m the top sniper in the entire US armed forces. You are nothing to me but just another target. I will wipe you the fuck out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on this Earth, mark my fucking words. You think you can get away with saying that shit to me over the Internet? Think again, fucker. As we speak I am contacting my secret network of spies across the USA and your IP is being traced right now so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your life. You’re fucking dead, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can kill you in over seven hundred ways, and that’s just with my bare hands. Not only am I extensively trained in unarmed combat, but I have access to the entire arsenal of the United States Marine Corps and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the face of the continent, you little shit. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little “clever” comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your fucking tongue. But you couldn’t, you didn’t, and now you’re paying the price, you goddamn idiot. I will shit fury all over you and you will drown in it. You’re fucking dead, kiddo.
> I'm just going to use Photoshop.
If you don't have an SSD or good setup, then PS is going to take much longer to load. You don't always need to use a full blown editor to make quick adjustments to your meme images. I mostly use it for quick resizing & cropping. Not going to open PS for that.
>Why wouldn't I just use the command line?
By command line operations, I mean you can use IrfanView to batch rename, image conversions, so on. Obviously ffmpeg/image magick are more suitable for this, but the fact it has scripting support is always a plus.
>Also kill yourself if you use HV for manga or comics instead of CDisplayEX on windows.
I'll have to try CDisplayEX.
If it's better then I can eliminate honey bloat entirely. Thank you for the suggestion!
>resizing & cropping
HV can also do this, among other things.
>batch rename, image conversions
Again, why wouldn't I use the actual CLI?
>HV can also do this, among other things.
That was a basic example.
IV can do much more, and at a smaller footprint.
>Again, why wouldn't I use the actual CLI?
I don't get what you mean.
IE, if you wanted to create a panorama image, you'd do 'i_view32 /panorama=(1,c:\1.png,c:\2.png,c:\3.png)'. How is that not command line?
>IV can do much more
as can HV. there are things IV can do that HV can't, so why don't you mention those?
>I don't get what you mean
You said IV can do CLI commands like batch renaming. Why in the fuck would I use IV to do that instead of sed?
>sed
Fuckhead detected
Nothing to see here folks, move on....
>Wincucks don't have imagemagick
Sad!
>as can HV
HV definitely does not have as much feature support as IV. The fact it requires 30MB per process is already a deal killer for me anywho.
>You said IV can do CLI commands like batch renaming.
Did you not read what I wrote?
>Obviously ffmpeg/image magick are more suitable for this, but the fact it has scripting support is always a plus.
>gimped cli functionally
No thanks
>sed can't rename files
the absolute state of wincucks.
>30mb is a deal breaker
Is this a joke or do you partake in a certain primatal delicacy?
they're basically equivalent programs, if we don't quibble over memory footprint we'll have to admit our instinctive tribalism is pointless
Looks very mIRC-ish (e.g. the developer is a sandnigger with no spatial awareness)
is Irfanview FOSS?
>they're basically the same except one uses 10x the memory while having less features
10 times nothing is still almost nothing
Jpegview or bust. The fastest and has everything a viewer needs.
I really don't get what your infatuation with HoneyView is. Did you have a relationship with the dev or something, or do you just like playing devil's advocate.
It has a better UI than Irfan.
you realize i'm not that guy you're arguing with right? i don't give a shit about either program, i think your argument is fucking stupid
Does it have that feature from FastStone where you click and it zooms on a pic yet?
I miss ACDSee32 Classic. That was a great bit of software
first porn I saw was at my mom's workplace computer class by launching irfanview and going through all images on one of the computers
