what is the second best headphone behind the ma900?
Magni 3 might just be the sexist small looking amp out there
>ma900
literally dogshit
What did Sennheiser mean by this?
post pictures of your hd598 and koss
I'm getting the velour pads from that drop too. My stock pads are 4 years old.
>that scooped upper midrange
worse than beyers lmao
>no dummy head
Post a picture of your headphones with a non-photoshopped timestamp inside the picture to prove your opinions and ability to interpret measurements are credible. "Not an argument" is not an argument.
What're your experiences with AT 3D wings?
>no dummy head
not speakers
wat
dummy head is not mandatory for headphone measurements
if you have a normal sized head or a wide one, they'll fit very well and feel near weightless on your head. People with narrow heads however should avoid it. It's super comfy for your average head size though.
...
what is the pinna, what is the ear canal
Pic related is what was measured with. This cannot possibly simulate bone conduction, realistic clamp and realistic measurement angle as accurately as a dummy head. Thus, dummy head measurements are preferable to measurements using pic related.
both part of the ears
you're really going into depth to justify those cherrypicked graphs huh
Pic related is the only known dummy head measurement that is either in raw format or done with a known compensation curve. refuses to post it because it displays the MA900 in a positive light and this does not support his shitposting agenda.
>63040283 refuses to post it
Kinda like he refuses to post his headphones since he has none.
post your measurement rig
based on similar posts I'm pretty sure he owns the hd598 and koss ksc75. it's the same faggot who claims you can eq the koss to have slam and that all headphones are the same after EQ. he also ignores callouts like this in his posts
i'm not the other user, but if you're commenting on measurements you should post your rig so you can qualify your statements as such.
I got banned for a similar comment a couple days ago
Nice new thread to post my new purchase. Let see if they are for me.
Nice best headphones in the world, user.
No, that's completely normal. It would be weird not to.
thanks for looking out for me user
It is weird because toes are neither erogenous organs nor sexualized in any culture.
if you're going to buy a replacement cable buy the HD650 cable
Have you tried equalizing it relative to that graph? I'd imagine you'd get a fair bit of clarity by getting rid of the midbass hump.
it's this one butthurt faggot here reporting posts for being off topic even though they are relevant to the OP
ma900 is dogshit
>that no sub-bass
>that 1khz etch
>that rollercoaster treble response
>people are actually shilling this on /hpg/
post your measurement rig
What'd the guy say, something about feet?
second quote meant for
/hpg/ all this MA900 shilling and backlash is because of ComfyGrados trying to justify his purchase. Dumb newfags can't see this.
>if i namedrop ComefyGrados and call others newfags they surely won't suspect me as being a newfag
>three people post their ma900 and setups, a fourth known poster buys one
>it-it's just ComfyGrados shilling!
Hi schizo user, just wanted to let you know that you were right, I'm actually ComfyGrados
What's the Chinese cable for? Just get an HD650 cable. It doesn't cost much more than that.
>audio upgrade cable
oh, you fell for it
TFW you just want a short cable.
Done
thomann.de
I used these on my HD600s.
pastebin.com
>years later and newfriends still can't spot CG
Everything is accurate in this pastebin even today, except that he seems to like Etymotics now. Why the sudden change of heart on ear dildos?
I remember this was like the first reply after ever /hpg/.
this general is as autistic as ever
kill yourself
>TV and shitty old computer speakers don't have enough juice to power my MDR-7506's and clip like shit
What do I do, lads? Can I just buy a better pair of speakers? Or do I seriously have to spend fucking $200 on a DAC and amp? I'm a poorfag and that's a big hit for me.
7506s are shit and have bass that clips
best headphones in the world, no matter the price, to listen to this specifically?
fiio a1
Hello my dear audiophiles, I did read the sticky and I need advice
My fucking company decided I don't need a single office anymore since I don't work every day anymore and the space would be wasted, so I can't listen to music by speakers anymore.
What headphones can you suggest me for this kind of music (breakbeat, dnb, etc), example: youtube.com
Budget about 300 $ but nothing that has a battery / needs charging.
Port-moddied SR007MK2 + KGSSHV Carbon + Schiit Yggdrasil
Oppo PM3
Fostex thx00
harmony audio ha-r65
hip hop you want biodyna, th-x00, teak, th900. pair it with an amp that can bass boost (ican se, idsd black, etc)
But then won't the amp be underpowered and fuck things up?
I like them a lot, but is it really "normal" for bass to clip on these even at moderate volumes?
if I type this into a searching botnet of choice, I only find car speakers.
Ath-msr7
It's not underpowered.
PM3.
I don't know, I haven't used them in ages. regardless at the end of the day you're not going to "fix" a 7506 with an amp.
Can a fulla 2 power a K702?
Anyone tried the ZMF Atticus and/or Eikon? I keep hearing they're better THX00/Teaks/TH900s.
The lord thy god in heaven hath given me his blessing to lead ye wretched sinners away from the ignorant lies and injustice of these cursed blasphemers so that you need not languish in torment for hearing the foul cacophanies of your heathen 'phones.
I'm here to tell you boys that the way out of the bottle is clear, and that the true path into righteousness and eternal life points to itself. And that truth, o' my blessed brothers, is the new Sennheiser HD 660 S. Now go, go and thank the mighty father who sheds the blood of his only son that you might be shown his mercy for gifting thee with such a majestic and awesome way to receive his rapture.
HD600 > HD650 > HD660S.
they measure worse than the teaks/th900 and have higher distortion.
>tfw when I have a shorter, custom length 650 cable for my 600's
Feels good man.
>HD600 > HD650
poor redditors when will you learn?
Thanks for all, I'll look them all up. The Oppo sounds really interesting but is almost double of my budget (locally obtainable for 550$). Is it really worth that price?
Easily. But not as well as more expensive ones
No, I mean if the source is underpowered and not enough to power the headphones, then won't it also be underpowered for the amp? Wouldn't that then damage the amp/headphones?
All I'm trying to fix is the audio clipping stemming from an underpowered source (TV, shitty computer speakers). I'm not trying to change the way they sound or the warmth or brightness or whatever--I just want clipping to fuck off forever.
Thanks in advance, lads.
HD650 > HD660S > HD600
>implying reddit and head-fi don't prefer the 650
laffin
Looks good to me, like a less fucked up mdr-1a. ATH-WS1100iS is like $70 cheaper and reviews say it's largely the same headphones, just w. more bass.
>muh HD650
veiled shit
correct.
that's eaxctly what i'm implying, only reddit prefer the 600 and it shows with the redditors youtube videos you always post to justify your claim
not perceivably compared to HD600. if HD650 is veiled then so is the HD600
>HD650
Not even once.
>HD600 has AKG honk
No wonder deaf retards like these, they must also like the increased distortion of the HD600 over the HD650.
If that's the case then maybe spring for those, considering they're cheaper and fit your music preference. Ath-msr7 are on the bright side of neutral but the bass is good on them.
>V-shape from midbass hump to midrange hump to treble rolloff
Where have I seen this before? Oh yeah here >mfw HD600 shills try to insult MA900 shills but they both use shit headphones with the same shitty sound sig
would I hear a difference, as a non audiophile, between ath m50x and th-x00? worth the upgrade?

>measures both and calls the HD600 'top-class'
HD600 is better.
Might want to wait. It looks comfortable, but it could potentially have a negative effect on the FR because of the dense memory foam material
See the measurements with different earpads on the HD650 here for example: mediafire.com
that's why I'm thinking about just getting HD660S pads for mine instead
k
Fuck, I just got my 650 a month ago
It's worse than HD650.
>unknown compensation curve
Post a picture of your headphones with a non-photoshopped timestamp inside the picture to prove your opinions and ability to interpret measurements are credible. "Not an argument" is not an argument.
I'm wearing 2 CIs and need some advice regarding headphones. I can hear frequencies from 500Hz - 8kHz (125-500Hz are emulated with technomagic, but it feels like everything on this range sounds the same), and because of the pretty big soundprocessors the earcups need to be pretty big

You are losing your fucking mind you retard.
It's diffuse field, what are you blind?
back to r/headphones you go
DT250.
is it a mistake to trade my teak + lcd-2 for a th900 + cash?
It doesn't say diffuse field anywhere on the measurement nor the page for the measurements. The website does not claim to use diffuse field compensation until after the date of the MA900 measurement. The MA900 measurement page and the measurement pages dated prior to the MA900 measurement do not mention diffuse field. The compensation curve is unknown. We already had this discussion and you failed to provide criminal court of law level proof of diffuse field compensation. Deal with it.
>better comfort and durability with similar fidelity plus extra cash
Sure, I mean why not?
It's diffuse field, look at the HD600 which is a well known reference used on Korean headphone forums. What are you blind?
