You are given a choice of installing one of these two versions of Linux. Pick one and state why.

Fedora on laptops and desktop because of driver and overall package support and it's easy to install. Just a great choice all around for day to day use. It gives you newer software while remaining very stable. Then I use Debian for servers because it's rock solid and doesn't need to be updated often. You just set it and forget it and it works.
Calculate linux
Fedora because Debian is terrible
Fedora, more up to date.
Fedora, I've never had to get my fucking UTP cable to install Fedora on my laptop, can't say the same for Debian.
debian because fedora's name is retarded and red hat are a bunch of faggots. would use testing so it's basically ubuntu
Debian because I don't think religion is stupid and I don't own a katana
fedora. Sorry for debian, i love it from an ethical standpoint, but it's just not as portable as I'd like if I need to reinstall the OS on my laptop or w/e without needing a third party. for my desktop, probably still fedora just because i hate apt-get.
debian/ubuntu was my first distro but fedora is where I became comfortable with linux. I have fedora installed right now. Debian installed on a virtual machine in windows for testing out stuff.
Debian of course, because Fedora is crap.
ubuntu. Just like how BSD was a west coast thing and SysV was an east coast. I'm a west coaster so I'll go with ubuntu.
Debian
Red Hat is fucking cancer
Fuck the shills
>Then I use Debian for servers because it's rock solid and doesn't need to be updated often. You just set it and forget it and it works.
This is about exactly how you get your ass hacked.
Debian
It has a better lo/g/o
debian, it's just a community driven ubuntu
fedora strips features from their official packages until they're useless and has too much *kitd pajeetware
Debian
I would feel ashamed using something with such an autistic and retarded name
No matter how fucking good it were I would never use anything with a name like that
>Pic EXTREMELY related
Fedora because it plays the best with GNOME, ships with SELinux enforcing, is the most stable of the bleeding-edge distros, readily lends itself to virtualization, is upstream for a le enterprise distro, so stability and security are taken seriously, and updating to a new release is painless. The only real drawback is the patent-related autism. You literally can't get shit like ffmpeg from the official repos. You also can't watch 95% of movies because of codec autism. You have to use rpmfusion repos, and I get bizarre gstreamer-related crashes.
2013 called, they want you back.
>choosing what you like based on what others think
What's it like being this much of a faggot? It's an operating system, dumbass, not a fashion symbol.
It's not about what others think retard I think that shit is for autistic fedora wearing fatsos hence I would never use that shit
I would be ashamed at myself
I don't even like Fedora but if all you can do is complain about its 15 year old name your opinion is irrelevant.
fedora because it actually works for desktop use
I choose to avoid both distros and any other distro out there. If there's a gun to my head I kill myself and use Windows 7 when I reincarnate.
I used to be Debian, and Debian derivative, for years. Then I got sick of looking for solutions, only for every single forum post about it to be "run this and that command and post the results", then when the person looking for help does it, to get a "lol just like mine and it works here".
So now I'm an enterprise cuck because at least there the forums can sometimes post solutions.
GNOME = Fedora
KDE = OpenSuse
Pick accordingly.
> what is a cron job
>Pick one and state why.
I choose neither. Why? Fuck you.

Debian
Fedora
Debian.
Fedora is a lot less polished and has never been a just werks distro for me. Compared to Debian everything takes an extra step. Also, Debian is a community distro and it is the way GNU plus Linux should work in my opinion.
debian. mostly because I grew up with it and always had some kind of machine running it in my home. fedora I tried a few times but couldn't really get warm with it.
>but muh debian packages are outdated
use unstable
>but unstable is unstable
it's good enough to be the base of ubunto
Hmmm let me think.
A community distro
Or
Poettering's shitty testbed?
Hard choice.
Debian had a year of discussion and testing and still chose systemd.
Fedora is RedHat so it was inevitable.
It was the same for me with OpenIndiana (current version is Hipster) but I took this advice and it's great.
gentoo
there is no other choice
You can remove systemd/pulseaudio from Debian with only moderate effort. I don't know about Fedora.
Why is it cancer?
I use fedora on desktop/laptop. Reason: Might as well submit to upstream.
Debian.
I am far more familiar with and comfortable with using APT, plus I have 7+ years of experience with Debian/Debian based systems. It'd be stupid to use anything else.
