Nvidia started selling low end silicon as mainstream, mainstream as high end and high end as enthusiast. But worst of all, retards encouraged them by buying them.
Meanwhile AMD produced a great value mainstream card but its so great that it even did well at mining so it sold out and demand sky rocketed. Then they produced an enthusiast grade GPU with only high end levels of performance.

I've been looking at Powercolor's cards - there aren't many reviews for them. Foxconn manufactures them so shouldn't be more chinky than ordinary. They do tend to skimp on whatever they can get away with though.
