It's certified unix

>it's certified unix

Certified bump

>this triggers the loonixtard

How does that make mac any better than linux?

imagine a different timeline where you're using an OS called Michaelsoft Bindows, that's a cheap knock off of Microsoft Windows made by some guy called Michael.

that's how it is pretty much, except you're using Linux a cheap knock off of Unix made by a call called Linus

It makes it worse. The only thing that matters is Linux. More dominant and widespread than UNIX ever was.

Bump, iCancer has to leave.

You skipped the part where Linux is Free and Open Source Software and not "cheap".

>taking this shitty bait

Certified(you)

Your argument is shit.

Really though, who cares if its certified unix. Why does it even matter, it doesn't make the OS really great. Besides, unix philosophy is sort of outdated, and just being CERTIFIED UNIX™ doesn't make the OS any benefits or any better. Or does it?

how come gahnoo slash linaks is not certified unix system?

(you)

First time I’ve actually laughed out loud at a post on Sup Forums.

Which kind of (you) good sir? Free as in free (you) or certified one? :^)
also chek'd

It does make it compatible to other "UNIX" software.
Although since most of that is mainly developed on Linux these days, Linux is still better in that regard.

Because its meaningless and not a priority for linux developers for good reason.

Snake oil as osx userspace is a mix of bsd and gnu software and everything cucked by cocoa framework.

They couldn't pass it, even when charged a symbolic $1. it's a hodgepodge of code all lumped together from different devs.

>userspace is a mix of bsd and gnu
So just like every other Unix?

Because GNU/Linux isn't a single specific platform.
Every distro would have to get their own cert for every of their releases.

partially because of SystemaiDs

GNU's Not Unix
Linux Is Not UniX

This is not true. They could provide the LSB.
Linux standard base.

Because GNU is free, while UNIX is proprietary.
It has nothing to do with the architecture.

Does anyone except for Red Hat give a shit about LSB?

>UNIX is proprietary.
it's no longer. OpenSolaris opensourced SysVR4 in 2005. But at the time of GNU formation it was.

Proves the point. It's just a big pile of puke and would never get certified because it couldn't pull together and form towards a standard like SUS.

ATENTION NOW RETARDS! OP HIMSELF HERE,
FROM THIS MOMENT THIS IS CERTIFIED THREAD ONLY ANONS OWNING PROPER CERTIFICATION CAN POST IN THIS THREAD!
