i have close to 1 TB of porn, collected from years of torrents and probably as far back as Napster/WinMX. i know i should delete, but its hard to think of what im losing.

Yup. You can use a regular duplicate scanner to compare file binaries or something like Visipics to compare image file similarity. Although it's gonna take quite a while to scan a TB of data.

This is a good idea for any mass deletion or hard drive transfer or whatever, even just a way to back up your music collection. On Linux/Unix:
ls -R /data > filenamebackup.txt
Even for a fucking huge music/video collection the output will be max a few hundred kilobytes, so if you have mostly mainstream stuff that isn't hard to get back you know exactly what to look for.
