Android file browser

Android file browser

What Android file browser do you guys prefer? I was using es but I heard it's not great as far as personal privacy, also the way it pushes other apps on you is annoying. Also I'm trying to access one of my servers over the network and it's trying to get me to install some bullshit 3rd party contractor app.

Anyway, any suggestions will be appreciated. I just want to access my files on my SD card and my file servers on my network.

Legacy root browser

Terminal emulator

chrome

Total Commander

FX File Explorer

MiXplorer

Same, like ES before it got Pooinloo'd

solid explorer too

need to replace it though, it's GUI isn't autistic enough for my liking

Amaze

This. This is the only usable root filemanager in F-droid.

Ok so the choice is between Amaze and FX File Manager ...

i also was using ES and getting fed up of their bullshit, so today i got a cracked ES pro, and it's pretty much ES without the bloat. so if you dont want a big change id say just do that

Enjoy your chink botnet.

Amaze.
Free, open source, available on f-droid, and offers root browser.

Are there any non-botnet file managers that can access network shares?

File Manager by Flashlight + Clock
It asks only for the most essential permissions and it doesn't look like it's botnet.

This one. It can access file shares, it has an ftp server and it can backup apk.
It does everything ES File Explorer did before it became a complete ad-filled botnet.

ES File Explorer Pro 1.0.8. No botshit or ads here

Seconded

Amaze. It’s on F-Droid and it’s manages files nicely.
