QEMU
usb scanner only worked with vmware
I like both, but vmware is slightly better.
>usb scanner only worked with vmware
Try capturing the usb actions it does with wireshark for usb. You might be able to port it to an open source driver for modern operating systems.
intredasting
vmware has better 3d support.
vmware
>this link has all the direct downloads
Serious or?
VMWare because it's such a pain in the ass to compact VDIs.
Player or workstation? Because VMware player sucks ass and doesn't install integration tools very well
Depends on the software you want to run on the vm
containers > kvm/qemu > esxi / vmware > virtualbox
Type 1 Hypervisor > Any shit installed on top of Windows.

QEMU/KVM or as I've recently started calling it QEMU+KVM.
this.
Thanks!
qemu the best non-x86 emulator
What's a Hypervisor?
does anybody have sound issues with Virtual Box 5.2.?
Why install these when HyperV comes preinstalled with your pirated windows installation?
What's a QEMU?
>what's a hypervisor
Turn off your Internet when activating, then they work 100%
Hyper-V acts as your operating system and runs your Windows virtualized.
There's as rather huge performance penalty just for having hyper-v enabled.
Unless your computer's primary function is to be a hypervisor, leave it off.
Thanks! Win10 keys?

pure pleb
and here I am with a filthy 4590S and 8gb of ram
VMWare is better but it's Windows only and I believe Vbox is open source.
> using ESXi
> ever
Its benefits end when you need something like an HA cluster, they demand a lot of money for that.
if your employer/client has the money, and is willing to spend it... then why not do it? At my previous workplace we used ESXi to run Oracle Database on Windows Server. Because we could.
you can run workstation on linux

The other day i wanted to install virtual box but had to enable "virtualization" in the bios which I did but once I booted up my machine could not detect my ssd and had to install a distro in order to format my drive and then install windows back. Idk what went wrong
KVM with QEMU and GPU Passthrough.
Nice.
It worked.
Thanks dude.
Thanks user, I've just disabled it. I didn't know it impacts performance even when no VM is running.
>qemu
>libvirt
out of the two? vmware
virtualbox is trash, vmware is very good at virtualizing client operating systems
for servers libvirt, vmware, ovirt, proxmox, etc just depend on your needs.
virtualbox isn't even slightly viable for anything else than testing
for testing servers i tend to prefer to throw it on a libvirt proxmox or vmware environment
for testing client operating systems i find vmware workstation to be the best by far due to its graphics virtualization
you can literally just google "vmware workstation key"
vmware workstation, the only VM that can upscale old games in 640x480 to any size fullscreen
