Because /t/ kinda sucks.
90% of it is porn, the rest is split between obscure music, anime and sometimes movies.

This and rarbg2. They have amazing blueray 4k torrents.

So let's make it better.

I suggested making a SFW torrent board on /qa/ before but no one on there seems to like the idea.

Because it's a stupid idea.
Private trackers.

Why?
/t/ is a good idea but ruined by the porn.

PirateBay. I'm not autistic enough for private trackers

Don't get to watch jack shit without real debrid

>split up one of the slowest boards on the site
nice idea
>/t/ is a good idea but ruined by the porn.
Ruined how? What SFW content isn't posted that should be? Nobody is stopping you from making the threads you want on /t/.

>>split up one of the slowest boards on the site
Why would a torrent board need a lot of traffic?
Being slow would mean that threads last longer so more people can find it.

>What SFW content isn't posted that should be?
Current music, shows, movies, cartoons you name it.

>Nobody is stopping you from making the threads you want on /t/
True but that would imply that I already have content to share and wouldn't be looking for the content since /r/ threads obviously don't go there.

The association with porn does in now way help the popularity or having a space for other content. Same reason why /wsr/ exists.

>Why would a torrent board need a lot of traffic?
So it isn't completely dead? The board isn't meant to be static. As it is threads on /t/ can last years.
>Being slow would mean that threads last longer so more people can find it.
/t/ isn't a torrent index, people post what they want to share. If you want something specific, do you go to /t/ when you look?

>Current music, shows, movies, cartoons you name it.
Sup Forums, Sup Forums, Sup Forums have links to new shows all of the time
Even then, most everything can be found on actual torrent sites. /t/ isn't the fucking scene, user.
