Idk..

how?

no its not

ffs op

Shift + Print screen

>Windows Modules Installer Worker
It's an update.

The Apple Macbook Pro with Retina Display doesn't have this problem.

Win7 with only 366mb of ram usage? The lowest I've gotten it is 700mb, what did you do? Is it 32bit or something?

Now serious:

Follow the "Safe" route. Note there's a next at the bottom right.

Also disable features not needed.

And check the Task Scheduler. Particularily CEIP, DiskDiagnostic and Maintenance. Disable all tasks under these folders.

...

so what you're saying is we need to develop P2P computations for sharing our unused hardware?

It's like saying "unused space in home is a wasted space"
Is that why you have cum, empty doritos packs and mountain dew stains on your apartment?

Get the fuck off my board.

Disable superfetch and hyperfetch

Yeah it is... kinda.

Ram doesnt use any extra power to have shit in it.

Cpu does use more power when it is doing shit.

Hard drives dont use extra power when it is full... but it does use power when reading and writing and it is difficult/slow to remove shit when you want to store something.

So ram should be as full as it can be so shit loads fast, with the ability to easily remove old shit when needed.

Cpu usage should be kept as low as possible.

Extra Disk space would ideally be used in some blockchain filesharing that would make you money, depending on the drive's power usage.

Thats true for programs, but you don't want your OS being resource hungry since you want those resources to be used eleswhere. Having an OS that uses barely and CPU and RAM is better than an OS using more.

> My hardware is too fast
Fear not, I will change that!

>Unused disk is wasted disk

not for SSDs, free spaces is used to dispatch the constant reads and writes so that every chip is used the same amount of time.

free space on a SSD enhances its lifetime.

Unused resources are waiting for some nu-male or Pajeet to make them used resources because of their shitty code.

This.

I love how windows10 goes to 100 disk i/o for an hour when you check updates.
Here's iotop showing linux mint checking updates, while firefox open and vp8 screen recording.

>Memory 366MB
>Commit 1021MB
Step aside.

Unspent money is wasted money. Go buy as much dragon dildos as you can afford.

top kek

But why

Shitty comparison.

Only way you could compare RAM to money is if you had a special bank account that you could only buy services with and you had, let's say, 10,000$ to spend per month, but any amount you didn't spend was removed at the end of the month.

Because it uses unused ram. You don't want that.

ram used as cache != programs holding it hostage

mines in half lol, nightly is using the most with just 3 tabs open, nothing else. Normal firefox will be worst probably
>inb4 unused ram is a waste of ram

forgot pic

tits or GTFO whore

:^)

Already done, lol

I have 32GB and I run out constantly

> not getting 64 jigabites of ram
I thought you had to have a job to post here

looks like you're set for 7 years :))

I've honestly never come close to hitting it, I just bought 64 gigs to soothe my autistic need to max all the specs out.

...

>Unused ram is wasted ram
yes
>Unused cpu is wasted cpu
cpu will enter a lower power state to save you money
>Unused disk is wasted disk
to an extent, need to keep part of that SSD free

> 6,2
sort yourself out

a good worker is a live worker,
a bad worker is a dead worker

how?

Why don’t you just download more ram?

There is bug in "BITS" and "SysMain" service, disable these services and 100% bug is fixed.

>>Unused ram is wasted ram
>yes
This is true, but during a long session, RAM acts as a virtual disk, making your computer more responsive the longer you use it without shutting down.

Almost same here.
32 gig is completely overkill but I got a free kit from my work so hey

it's all about moderation. too little utilization and you're wasting it. too much utilization and you slow down the system.

Forgot pic

i don't know why it doesn't show gpu but mine is 970. 32gb was out of the box

There is no such thing as unused ram in any half decent OS. Anything not used will always be used for caching data until a program needs it.

Unless you literally do nothing on your computer except for maybe facebook this is the case.

But think of all the """"progress"""" that's being made to computers when I have to buy a new system to do less than before!

Yep, that's why I went for 64GB. I rarely have more than 16GB active, but that extra 48GB makes programs lightning fast to open.

A smart engineer provisions for the peak demand, not the average.

I'm trying user.
total used free shared buffers cache available
Mem: 31G 14G 5.7G 241M 5.1G 6.3G 16G
Swap: 0B 0B 0B
16:15:19 up 3:00, 2 users, load average: 1.58, 1.54, 1.65

>first gen i7
>8gb ram
why would you ever need more than this, Sup Forums?

I don't know what the hell Windows Update does when it runs.
Somehow i don't think Microsoft does either.

> 64 jigabytes
Try 128GB

Is it two 16gb sticks or four 8gb?
