what browser plugins/extensions do y'all use

i currently use ublock origin, privacybadger, https everywhere, and master password

Ublock origin,https everywhere.

I keep all my passwords on a document on my iphone

I only use UO. All the sites where I want HTTPS redirect automatically anyway. Privacy Badger, Canvas Blocker, Cookieautodelete, decentraleyes and co. seemed useful to me at first, but I don't care anymore.

do you use anything to disable javascript? seems important now, what with js bitcoin miners and all that

Opera (yea lol) lets me turn it off, then manually enable it per site as needed

I use Chromium because Firefox is shit and Chromium doesn't have more Google in it than Firefox

Also with opera it has a free vpn. Sure its not amazing and only does web browser traffic, but it hides me browsing from my isp which is all i care about.

I honestly dont do anything but post on here and rip my own stuff from dvds. Ive stopped using the internet for most things, and found myself to be happier to boot

I use adblock plus, ublock and no script for firefox.

i'm interested in this topic too. if there's any other must haves.

what exactly does privacybadger and https everywhere do?

Https forces web traffic to be https on sites that have it available.

Pretty nice, since some sites don’t force https, and its a pita to check every site

coincidencedetector.com/

ublock origin, umatrix, smarthttps, decentraleyes, vimfx.
I use ublock origin, umatrix with all blocked settings i.e. block * * * and allowing is only for per sites, not general. Additionally, I never allow CSS so that I can use plain html design on all sites.
The internet without CSS, Javascript, Images is fucking awesome. Maybe you'll be embressed how fast startpage is.

Racism simulator is funny as well

>adblock plus AND ublock
wew lad.

you dont need ad-block plus + ublock, just pick one and stick with it (i use ublock, but the way it handles pop-ups is a little weird)

Without CSS is awesome indeed, but there's a lot of shitty websites that add a fuckton of links right at the top so you need to scroll for ages just to get to the content

Adblock is pretty much the only one i use regularly

decentraleyes, disconnect, https everywhere, noscript, ublock origin and umatrix

I'm pretty sure some functions of them overlaps but I don't give a fuck

also refresh blocker, greasemonkey and video downloadhelper

Vimfx 'gg' command executes moving to the top action.

>UO
>uMatrix
>tampermonkey
>https everywhere
>decentraleyes
>privacy badger

do any of you has working extension for hiding title bar? nothing seems to be working. also after update firefox screenshot tool disappeared?

Currently using uBO (in medium mode it effectively replaces NoScript as well), uBO-scope, Containers (from the Firefox Test Pilot), and HTTPS Everywhere.
Is there any replacement for SmartHTTPS and Vimperator? If I understand correctly the new WebExtensions addons can't take control of the keyboard like the old ones, which makes a new Vimperator impossible.

I forgot to add Violentmonkey

I'd suggest looking at the development channel of greasemonkey for version 4. It's already faster and works pretty well. I like it a lot.

make your own userChorme.css

The ones I use most are:
>Download Status Bar
>Image Zoom
>Notifier for Gmail
>Save Image in Folder
>Tab Mix Plus
>uBlock Origin
>NetVideoHunter

A bunch of these haven't updated in a long time though and will eventually stop working once Firefox Quantum launches.
I'll need to find good alternatives to some of these, especially Save Image in Folder and Tab Mix Plus.
I blatantly shouldn't be using NetVideoHunter, but it helps to have an extension that can automatically grab source links for videos hosted on pages.

What extension should I use to block frefox from automatically bringing up find bar whenever i press literally any key?

Firefox options, general settings advanced section: "Search for text when you start typing"

Just turn that off.

umatrix, ublock origin, lastpass, decentraleyes, tampermonkey, pushbullet, https everywhere.

Not too big of a fan of pushbullet, would welcome alternatives.

>Opera (yea lol) lets me turn it off, then manually enable it per site as needed
This all or nothing approach is retarded.
Most sites won't work well/at all without JS but enabling all will allow all the ads and tracker scripst as well.

Use something like uMatrix or uBlock Origin in advanced mode.

https everywhere
ublock origin
umatrix

>I keep all my passwords on a document on my iphone
lolwut? I hope that document is encrypted and handled by a proper passwore manager like keepass. If not, you are seriously retarded.

Is privacybadger useful if I have uBO?

I used to use LastPass but I'm switching KeePassXC now.

Also you can use the "Open With" plugin and hook that up to mpv.

Boom, easy video reproduction with mpv by just right clicking and selecting "Play with mpv" on any video. I used to do that but I haven't set it up after an update. I'll go get that done

example:

Use keepass for your passwords dude
keepass.info/download.html
There are ios versions on here as well

Keepass is deprecated
Use KeepassXC

Strict Popup Blocker (only annoying thing about this is that I have to turn it on every single time I open Firefox)
uBlock Origin
Policeman

Apologies for this stupid question that I'm sure has been asked here a million times already, but I'm using the uBlock Origin and https everywhere extensions for Firefox on Lubuntu; do I need to use anything else? I want to block as much Javascript as possible and block as many advertisements and trackers as possible but retain the ability to allow or deny scripts on the fly.

when stallman says he blocks all proprietary javascript from running at all how does he do it?

GNU IceCat

I love that name.

thanks user

Is there any way to delete cookies automatically on Waterfox/Firefox 55+? I tried Cookie Autodelete, but it literally does nothing.

Ublock origin and save to pocket and Sup Forums x
that's all i need

Don't ever try to decide what food I should eat without asking me. Never assume that I will surely like a certain dish, merely because most people do. Instead, ask me in advance!

If you can find a host for me that has a friendly parrot, I will be very very glad. If you can find someone who has a friendly parrot I can visit with, that will be nice too.

DON'T buy a parrot figuring that it will be a fun surprise for me. To acquire a parrot is a major decision: it is likely to outlive you. If you don't know how to treat the parrot, it could be emotionally scarred and spend many decades feeling frightened and unhappy. If you buy a captured wild parrot, you will promote a cruel and devastating practice, and the parrot will be emotionally scarred before you get it. Meeting that sad animal is not an agreeable surprise.

Look at the privacy & security options, everything you need is there.

Post the one about how the concept of breakfast triggers him

I've offered $100 to a couple people to try and fix ImageZoom for E10S/WebEx, and every one of them says the code is sloppy as fuck and nowhere near worth $100 to fix, it doesn't help that the dev is a cunt and reported me on Git when I pointed out the first major signs of IZ dying, i.e. mouse gesturing causing the context menu to stay active, and it breaking absolutely all image gesture functions with E10S

Anyone else having problems with 4chanX not working with Violentmonkey? It just stopped working for some reason 2 days ago, doesnt even load 4chanX

Nevermind, apparently the new version of ViolentMonkey is broken

PSA for anyoen else affected:

The second one fixed it for me

Works for me.

Dang, because that's one of the addons I really want to see maintained too.
Just the simple right-click + left-click to reset image zoom, right-click + middle-click to zoom image to browser extents, that's the good shit.

are any of these worth using if i'm on windows 10?

noscript, ublock and xmarks

This is like asking if you should put locks on your doors if you live in a bad neighborhood

well with windows 10, the burglars are already inside

I hope you've got guns

>Keepass is deprecated
Wat

KeePassX is no longer being maintained since Oct 2016

KeePassXC is the new actively maintained fork

So only if you're a cross-plat fag. I just use 2 on Windows and 2Android on my phone.
