Surface pro has no gpu docks. There's a dock that allows several monitors hooked up, but no egpu solutions. M$ is behind the ball.

No. With near certainty I can say nothing about this image makes sense. Buy a system with an Expresscard slot and enjoy degraded performance, or get something either with an onboard card, or a dock.

It won't, usb doesn't support this config.
You'll need either expresscard slot/mPcie slot inside laptop/thunderbolt.
Not all expresscard/mpcie slots made equal, it only works with some of them.
Next, it won't work with laptops that have their BIOS blocked.
Next, if you already have dedicated gpu inside laptop, you'll need to disable it, sometimes with special hack to free pcie bandwith.
In the end, if you are lucky you'll get maybe 80 percent of videocard performance with external monitor, less with internal laptop screen.

gonna have to agree with everyone else here. It won't work. Only the latest Thunderbolt 3 standard supports external graphics.
