For $5000 will this do everything I want?

For $5000 will this do everything I want?

If all you want is facebook then yes for 40 minutes until it overheats.
Just dont watch any youtube

>"As soon as we started the test on the iMac, the CPU clock rate fell to 3 GHz"

>"The sensors recorded CPU temperatures of almost 100 °C (212 °F)"

5000 dollards Pornhub/ facebook/ instrgram machine

fug

For $5000 you do everything it makes you do.

i can get these for fucking 40 euros

>lets get some powerful workstation hardware
>slap it into a slim case with zero airflow
>cool it woth laptop cooler
>and set it on a silent mode so our workstation is very sleek slim and quiet
>but Tim it doesnt work
>shut up, nobody cares if it work

Apple, everyone

There are 2 types of people that buy Apple products.

This is one

And this is two.

>just Intel Inside Problems

No kidding, I worked at a studio for six months that had iMacs as the general workstation/render machines (we had a render farm for larger projects but all the previews and other such things were done in the iMacs) and those things get hot as fuck and throttle like crazy as soon as you start doing any intensive editing and rendering.
Especially rendering would make them get very very hot, though I never had a shutdown.

They should just make their unibody cases out of copper.

That'll absorb heat.

>implying that Skylake X and Vega are powerful

no

No shit they have good 600W worth of hardware in a literal laptop enclosure with laptop coolin

Hardware like that needs to be in a full tower with a lot of low RPM fans and Noctua/Macho coolers

Yes and fill the entire thing with $50 worth of wholesale thermal paste

>imying they arent
Also its xeon

Hopefully this is a Stopgap and next year they change they innards with Epyc and Navi.

i could buy a dual xeon 2U blade server with 256GB of RAM and 1 GTX1080TI for that fucking much.

Skylake X + Vega? Apple Housefire edition.

Powerful costly heathers.

They would need to replace the apple logo with this one

Try running your ryzen with only a heatsink and no fans. Let me know how it works out

No

for that price you can make a pc with windows that do everything you want AND a pc with linux that do everything you want, AND extra money to make your battlestation comfy

Seriously, 5000$ dollars is so retarded.
You could buy a Skylake X and the biggest watercooler ever, and a Titan X or whatever the current strongest Titan card is and still be left with enough money for a 5k monitor easily.

But muh elegance and minimalism.

#justapplethings

>ZDNet has estimated that a full-spec build-to-order iMac Pro with an 18-core CPU, 128GB RAM, 4TB SSD and Radeon Pro Vega graphics with 16GB HBM2 memory could cost more than £17,000

that's not that much, I might get one

Yes, but you don't need to spend that much. You can almost certainly get a machine (even a Mac) that fits your needs for much less.

It may also be prudent to wait for the new Mac Pros.

fuck that, you can achieve elegance and minimalism with anything, just find the right case for your computer

>that fits your needs for much less
Apple says to build an equivalent machine it's $7000 without the monitor

*they were talking about the new ones ofc

Daily reminder: A 15 watt Quad Core laptop CPU performs 7% better than your 95 watt paper launch i5

>implying that the imac pro doesnt have any fans
>but goy, intel is gud

>applel housefire trash
>fans

That's a good one.

Yes, for a couple of years but it will be impossible to upgrade.

you will still be a virgin

Epic maymay

>a-apple are antisemites that are raycists against fans, goy
Shut up Brian

Sad that has precedence.

>Fans are loud and ostentatious, take them ouit.
>But, sir, that's not advisable.
>What isn't advisable is telling that to the guy who can fire you.

if all you want is sucking cock, then yes

This shit is like intel xeon: marketed towards either retards or people spending corporate budgets

If you expect it to protect your "innocence"

Yes, it can browse Sup Forums.
