Apple will soon produce movies or shows on their own as iTunes Exclusives (there were news recently about Apple wanting to buy the James Bond franchise).

They will be released in a new, revolutionary image format called iFilm, optimized for iPhone X, including the notch.

desu a phone can look bigger than your tv depending on how close it is to your face. Most phones are 1080p so its pretty much the same or better. Not to mention you can use high quality headphones.
