So looks like I'm staying with this since Google has botched the Pixel 2 XL.

Hi, guys ^_^

I regret not picking up the OG Pixel when it came out. It's no longer a viable purchase, since the price hasn't really dropped, but it certainly fucked up less than the 2.

Hi faggot. Still haven't slashed your wrists?

why are pixel phones so expensive? the nexus series line used to be really popular because it had good hardware, stock android, and it was cheap too. but now these pixel phones are like $700 for last year samsung flagship specs.

i wish mine was blue

Why would you upgrade anyway?

tfw no phone with
>S8 display
>Pixel software
>V30 DAC

No time for it, I'm too busy with your mom ^_^

Supply and demand, user.

This doesn't have band 20, does it?

Just decide which one you value more: stock Android or the big battery + screen.
I also had this dilemma but I decided to order the Mi Max 2 because I'd prefer having a large battery than bare Android.

mi max 2 vs mi a1?

i live in the states and use t mobile

Sounds like you had no desire to upgrade in the first place. You felt cucked that a new one came out, read some sensationalist news, received some form of deep stratification about inflected cuckery and shut yourself out after that.

Here's some news: the new batches are substantially better. The only "issue" was the screen and it's now a non issue.

Just got an s7 edge, how do I make the best of this phone? Do I update to the current software (7.0)? What about anything bloating the phone?

What LTE bands does your carrier use?

Guy from last thread. Would the Moto X Pure be a viable replacement for a Nexus 5x? I love my 5x but the fear of bootloop has me looking for something else.

Is there any real guarantee you're getting a new batch? Does Google offer refunds if you get the same blue-shift nonsense?

4g

>since the price hasn't really dropped

You can get one for $400 - 500 these days. Better hurry before they become hard to get.

the version (Note 4X) doesn't, but Note 4 Global does. The Global version isn't available as an anime version though, only gold, gray and black.

i gotta be honest my guy i dont know

I mean does it use Band 4, band 20,etc.?

4g is not specific enough.

I now about the regular global edition. I'd really like a Miku-themed Note 4 with B20 through, the color is very eye-watching.

They're flying off the shelves. Returns are no question asked and they give you a free prepaid label.

There's no risk trying it out if you are genuinely interested.

Is there any advantage to at all to removing the headphone jack, or is it literally just to push wireless earphone sales?

T-Mobile uses 2, 4, 12. I don't think either of these will get LTE on T-Mobile

its just retarded

why would you got from one 2015 phone to another 2015 phone, not really a upgrade is it?

my phone says 4g lte on the top right corner tho

i just wanna know if i should get either an mi max 2 or an mi a1

>Razer phone
>great specs
>huge bezels
lmao why do companies do this shit

The camera alone justifies the price.

Money. I don't have much of it to spend.

you realize how much work hoes into a phone right? theyre not apple

download the latest OS update and security update. use package disabler pro to disable anything that says "samsung", "touchwiz", or anything with your carrier name on it.

if your S7 can install custom ROMs, consider using the official Lineage OS nightly build.

what is your budget? you're usually better off getting a 2017 midrange phone rather than a 2015 flagship

no it doesn't

>muh camera
I didn't know Sup Forums was full of instagram whores

The bezel houses the massive thx speakers.

It's setting up to be phone of the year if they don't lock the software down.

neither will get 4g lte on T-Mobile

get a job.

bump

Made a mistake getting the XL version... A regular 5" is definitely more comfy.

NO

>get a job so you can post your selfies to your co-workers facebook wall taken with your pixel

do i really need 4g lte?

I can get lumix lx100 for that kind of money if I'm into compact photography

what do you guys think about nokia 2? is it worth 100 euros?

Any news about the red hydrogen one? Looks like they updated the render.

Camera probably gets BTFO by the pixel anyways.

if you're okay with 3g or slower speeds then sure

Depends on your needs. If you want to use the internet while commuting or on the go then LTE is good to have.

THEY SAID FIREFOX WOULD SUPPORT YOUTUBE PLAYING WHILE SCREEN IS OFF, WHY DOESN'T IT WORK WITH ME IT'S NOT FAIR

>returns are no questions asked
Holy shit. Alright, I'll try it out if there's genuinely no risk. I just didn't want to get stuck with a $700 piece of hardware that didn't work out of the box.

It used to work, user. But not anymore

Fucking jews don't want us to use youtube for music

>anime girl OP picture
>no smartphone in sight
you had 1 job

Just use NewPipe.

and theres no way to gte these two chink phones to have lte?

switch to a carrier that supports the bands or move

any carrier you recommen? verizon? att?

Nice. How much is she?

There's the specs:

red.com/hydrogen.pdf

Every fucking time.
These greedy kikes must be gassed.

I do use NewPipe, but it lacks so many features, like playlist support.
At least I haven't been able to play any playlist.

Then use Ymusic from XDA.

You can make playlists in that and play the music in the background.

Doesn't play any video content, just the music part.

at&t may work but you have to call them up and confirm they support your area

most chinkphones don't work in the US. Check out LeEco Le Pro3 if you want one that does work:
amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01N9541P6/

damn this looks real fucking nice thank you man

Here's a trick:
>download Telegram (yes yes privacy yada yada you're not really going to use it for anything more anyway).
>paste the link for your video in the cloud chat (the one with yourself);
>it's going to appear a preview of the video, which you can play right there on the telegram app.
>done, the video is going to play even while the screen is off, or the app is minimized.

Just fucking download youtube background playback holy shit. It enables all red features they built in but disabled.

I'd like to add front facing stereo speakers to that

that phone is not really good. poor build quality, iffy fingerprint sensor, almost non existent customer support. it got potential if you plan to install lineageOS but you're better off just getting a different phone

like max 2 or an a1?

Huawei Mate 9 or an Xperia X Compact? I know they are completely different things but what would Sup Forums pick?

Currently using piece of shit iPhone 6S. I can trade it for the Mate 9 or buy the X Compact for 150€ and sell the iPhone.
Mate 9 comes with box and warranty, Xperia only with charger.
On the Mate I like the screen, the size for reading, seems to be fast and has a big battery. It's a computer-phone. Apparently with Android O it will get that continuum like PC Mode. Con is the size for carrying.

Xperia wins in size for carrying but not for reading, it's a phone-phone. What I like is the design, Sony's fast handling of updates, confyness. Cons would be ant-display, no warranty.

how would u rate this exquisite looking phone

I need to be rooted for that, right?

Anyone have that one tree for buying phones?

How do the top Android flagships compare with iphone battery-wise?

it's literally on the play store

So I got a used HTC 10 a few weeks ago, came with a 2 year warranty. After about 3 weeks it kept bootlooping either when the battery got low enough or when trying to open certain apps (works fine on a Nexus 5X, for comparison). It's somewhat sporadic, usually happens near 20% or lower battery but soft reboots at any percentage - as in, it shows the HTC logo and goes straight to the lock screen but otherwise acts like a full reboot.
Sent it back under warranty, but they're returning it to me because they say they can't replicate the problem. Is it worth installing LineageOS and seeing if it works any differently? Can I get the BoomSound settings through that?

>Android 8.1.0
What the fuck, I have a Pixel XL and I'm still on 8.0.0. USA/Verizon I thought the updates were all mine...

I can vouch the a1 is good

He's enrolled in the beta program dood

depends on usage but a custom ROM+kernel flagship phone will have way better battery than a iphone

Anons, which one is better for your money? Galaxy S7 or LG G6?

For Ymusic?

No you don't need to be rooted and you don't need to fuck around with xposed modules that may or may not work...

LG G6, it's newer so it's should get updates for longer

Which one?
Ymusic doesn't seem to allow to play youtube videos, and yt background playing doesn't do what I talked about.

I would go with LG G6 because the battery is larger. If you could spend a bit extra for the S7 Edge then I would fully recommend that since the battery is larger, OLED is way better than LCD, and it just looks nicer.

What about stock? Which current Android phones have the best battery?

Huawei Mate 9 got a 4000 mAh battery inside which should last more than a day just on stock.

Lenovo P2 gets about 35 hours of talk time

Guys, can I get some insight here? Thank you

lg if u wanna bootloop

I would get mate 9 because it's big enough for watching videos and the big battery means I could watch vids in bed all night

Mate 9, EZ

So are 1st gen Pixels worth buying?

I dont really want the screen dor watching videos but for reading. When I had my Samsung Note 5 I would read a lot on it. I really liked it but everytime I put it in my pocket I would curse the day I got it.

Overpriced outdated specs shit

For

Well then go to your local carrier store and test drive phones to see which size is right for you

Get a more recent Moto. Preferably from 2017, but a 2016 model might also work. Quite a few cheap ones.
