He doesn’t use raidz2 for his anime collection

>he doesn’t use raidz2 for his anime collection

raidz1 is okay for small arrays at home. You data is safe because of BACKUPS, not because your array has a smaller chance of failing during resilvering.

Delete your reaction image folder and post your feelings.

I use raidz2 for my collection of vintage interracial porn but my anime is streamed.

No

I wrote a daemon that empties my Sup Forums folder at random

>He doesn't use a Sup Forums client that can add a picture with just a Google query.

OP thinks I don't but I do.

running a cron job with only rm -rf Sup Forums/ occasionally is not a daemon

Crond is a daemon. He probably didn't write it, though.

cron is deprecated. use systemd timers.

NSA/systemd isn't installed on my machine. Cron isn't deprecated because systemd is just an alternative, not a successor.

Cron rocks.

inability to schedule knob slobbings with a mold of poetterings dick does not make cron depricated thank you very much

raid is not backup
raid is not backup
raid is not backup

This. RAID is for high availability. Using raidz2 lowers the change of having to restore from backups when resilvering doesn't complete before losing one disk to many.

but my backup is raid

If your backups are on raid that's fine. Backups should be redundant too.

How do I into this whole meme?
Do I need nas hdds or can I use my current shitty hdds?

whatever you can afford

RAID is excellent for shitty disks because when one shitty disk fails, there's no loss of data (yet).
