I need a Debian/Gnome distro, pref not Ubuntu, for a usb-persistence boot. What are some good OS's for USB booting?

Is xubuntu better than lubuntu?
I have lubuntu running on a core 2 DUO and 1GB ram and it runs faster than my 4790k with 24 GB ram.
Just looked it up. Lubuntu is lighter than Xubuntu
I have a pentium mmx 266mhz With 65536k ram. Best distro? I'm running freedos with botnet 3.11 right now.

i would just go with Lubuntu personally.
I used Lubuntu for a while, but I recently changed to Bunsenlabs, and I'm pretty happy with it.
>Debian/Gnome
How da fuck GNOME can be light?
would recommend antix from this list. It has an ugly IceWM but it's the most feature rich live usb system made by Linux veterans.
icewm doesn't look bad with a nice theme, though i do admit the available options are limited compared to some others

You'll never find it. Give up on shit DE's and install BunsenLabs.
If you like Debian, Lubuntu is lighter than Xubuntu. But I also suggest BunsenLabs.
Why not just Debian with Gnome then? PureOS is neat if you like the philosophy, its basically Debian with a few modifications and Gnome as the default DE
A little bit, but its ugly as fuck too. I just switched to XFCE and haven’t noticed any change in performance.
